I woke up this morning with a smile on my face and don’t think I fully have words to express it yet. I’m really proud of myself for fully surrendering to this process throughout all it’s joys and discomfort. I broke my leg last year in the middle of finishing the record and was forced to slow down in a way I never had before. I am so humbled and thankful by the way my friends and family showed up for me. I am incredibly thankful for all my collaborators- Teo, Rahm, Marshall, Parker, Caleb, Jamil, Michael, Jared, Chris, Haldeman, Sarlo, Zack, Eric, Richie, Alex, Brittany, Jon, Nate, Dale, and so many more! So much of you lives in this record. Thank you to my loved ones, my amazing team and every person who helped bring this world to life. For every conversation, every experience and every little thing that contributed to everything.
The title is a double entendre that lives at the heart of everything. A Rush To Nowhere and A Rush To Know Where. An ongoing study of my relationship to time. At its core, this record is about love and all the magical ways it finds us, changes us and slows down time. For anyone sitting in the discomfort of uncertainty right now, your path is already written for you, please trust it. Thank you for listening <3
