ABG ART GROUP is a family of three arts-focused initiatives.
Part 1 - ABG Projects is a community-first arts agency focused on connecting artists with opportunities by providing production, creative direction, and project management from ideation to delivery. Our services include public art ordinance fee management, producing large-scale installations, and collaborating with industry-leading artists.
Our portfolio features a wide range of unique public installations, including relief sculptures, numerous murals across the Bay Area and beyond, and curated interior collections. We have also developed several robust mural series in collaboration with a variety of city partners.

Part 2 - Studio ABG Our In-House Design Practice
Studio ABG is “Elliot” Trent Thompson @theartistelliot and “Xiao-Rui” Sorell Raino-Tsui @tsui.xiaorui , an art and design duo with backgrounds as visual artists and creative directors. Our combined expertise allows us to create works and experiences that tell stories in unexpected and distinctive ways. Collaboration has always been at the heart of our practice. As co-owners and directors of ABG Art Group, we bring years of experience in supporting the artistic visions of our community, which has shaped our own creative voices.
Our in-house portfolio includes dynamic productions like the eye-catching retail space buildout for 3319 Marche, the sculptural series Legendary Words, a 40-ft textured concrete accent wall, anamorphic interior paintings, a topographical stage and cyclorama photo wall, a 50-ft 3D relief mural, and a collection of monumental murals such as the Hayward Depot and the nine-story project at 4200 Geary.

What does Oakland owe its artists and culture keepers? If Oakland defines itself by its arts and culture, how can the City put funding, infrastructure and economic strategy into the creative community?
Hear directly from Sorrel Raino-Tsui of @abgprojects during one of Mayor Barbara Lee’s Economic Development Working Groups convenings as he makes the case. What do you think the potential solutions are?
I'm floating on cloud nine after yesterday's twilight mural ceremony, celebrating the immense efforts of everybody involved to make "Matilija Sky" a reality. We had a terrific turnout of locals, members of the mural committee, and even some town officials. You can go see it at 3578 Mt Diablo Blvd (wall of Zahra Boutique Salon flanking the parking lot)🌼
