Here is a recently finished 2 Wall Installation completed at 2550 Irving in Sf.
This Mixed media Mural includes color integrated concrete and mosaic tile and was a chance for us to flex some dynamic material processes we have been developing in studio.

Some final shots of my latest mural in Oakland Chinatown for the @oaklandchinatownchamber .
Thank you so much to the Chamber for supporting this vision. ‘Grandma’s Vase’ is on 10th near Harrison across from Lincoln Rec center.
🌟The AIMS Team had a wonderful time at the @oaklandchinatownchamber Networking Mixer in celebration of Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month!
🎨 We explored Chinatown’s vibrant new mural and met the talented artist Tsui Xiao Rui—a stunning tribute to heritage, identity, and resilience. The mural is located outside Alice Street Bakery Café and Mắm Hanoi Restaurant in Oakland.
📣 We encourage all students and families to stop by and check out the mural—it’s a beautiful piece of art and a meaningful reminder of the diversity that strengthens our community.
🫱🏽🫲🏾AIMS is proud to celebrate cultural heritage and build strong partnerships across Oakland.

"Murals are art, and art is culture..."
For the past ten years, Sorell Raino-Tsui @tsui.xiaorui@abgprojects has used his Chinese culture and the history of Bay Area neighbors to help add color to our communities.
If you walk around San Francisco, you likely have seen his work (one of his most notable is the Year of Snake/basketball mural in SF Chinatown near Portsmouth Square), and now the @oaklandchinatownchamber is using his skills to help change the face of Oakland's Chinatown one mural at a time.
We caught up to him as he was finishing his latest project -- the first of two murals he is painting in Chinatown this year.
Thank you to Sorell for trusting us to tell your story and letting us join you on your journey. And always thank you to producer @lisaachong for connecting us.

Love Language, abstract calligraphy strokes..it does not say anything. Appreciating the culture and language without saying anything specific. Acrylic on canvas. 36 x 72 inches.

Another “Off The Wall” concept has been brought to life for the Sunnydale Hub. Starting as a concept for including cultural textures and iconic imagery of sunnydale The process for bringing this to life included transferring designs through a multitude of phases. then moving into a digitally painted final design. The digital design was then vectored and extruded for cut etched and layered sections. After the material was machine cut, the piece was then hand painted and finally attached the existing building wall.

“Yum Cha With My Past”
An exhibition featuring installations, visual art, and photography by:
Tsui Xiao Rio @tsui.xiaorui
Zachary Austin Lew @zacharyaustinlew
Tai Tsui @tairainotsui
“Yum Cha (Drink tea) with my past,” pays homage to the artists’ Chinese ancestors, the OG’s who pioneered a life here in Oakland and created a legacy of ancient Chinese descent in America. The artists, whom are all of third generation descent, created visual installations that respectively tribute their first generation ancestors’ lifestyle. Recreations of living rooms, meal time, laundry lines, and, grocery shopping, detail out past memories of joyful family time, while also serving as the inspiration behind the displayed art.
Opened Saturday, September 7th at the Oakland Chinatown Night Market.

Make sure to find the humans in the second photo for scale…
This wall at 4200 Geary was a true test of trusting the process. The entire wall was covered by scaffolding for the duration of the mural. So we never got a look at it from more than 5ft away until the moment the scaffolding came down. The design, represents a variety of cultural elements from the neighborhood and was traced out square by square.
