Country Music is out today and available in full via
@archaicvaults
This is an album about identity, being content with perennially being in transit, attempted smear campaigns and music scene hierarchies, stepping out from behind bands and moniker constraints. It’s about music being against borders, geographically and mentally, socially and academically. It’s a cathartic push against inner city life. It’s a homage to Tears For Fears and 00s grime white labels. I am not proud of it as an album, my love for it is already marred with confusion and what-ifs, but I am overwhelmingly excited to continue this momentum of creativity since upheaving my roots once more.
Thank you to
@owenpratt for mastering it,
@alyakanibelli for your graphic expertise on the track listing text,
@nicky4ngel for the centre label photo and
@seabassvinyl for going above and beyond as an independent pressing plant.
Hugest gratitude to Vanessa
@larvanest for lending your voice and Pavel
@buttechn for lending your guitar improvisation. Two of the best to do it.
Copies of the record have mostly gone to shops but there’s a limited amount left on the
@archaicvaults bandcamp. Today would be a good day to cop one.
