Paradise Must Be Nice festival opens at the historic Zwingli-Kirche on June 11 2026: London-based French violinist and singer Vanessa Bedoret presents intimate, cinematic compositions. @boomkatonline described her debut album ‘Eyes’ (@scenic____route ) as a “timeless bouquet of ecstasy and ballads, garnished with piercing strings and shatterproof electronics.” Rosaceae is the music project of Berlin-based visual artist Leyla Yenirce. Together with performance artist and musician Solomon Garçon, she explores the sonic aspects of military and cultural structures of dominance through noise, ambient, and vocal improvisation. U21 day tickets are reserved for the young (please show a proof of age at the door). Supporter day tickets help us to keep the boat afloat. We are finalizing this year’s lineup and welcome our guests from abroad: Vanessa Bedoret will perform at Zwingli Church and Maria W Horn & Mats Erlandsson will present “The Spectral Organ” on the mighty Schuke-Orgel at Gedächtniskirche. After performances from @cavid.dhen and @b1tchmaterial among others, Slikback will close out the festival on Saturday with a live set. TOMORROW AT TATE MODERN ✨ Really honoured to be giving an improvised solo violin performance this Saturday 10th May from 4.15pm to 5pm, as part of Begin Again: Sonic Activation one of many free events happening during Tate Modern’s 25th Birthday Weekender. Begin Again: Sonic Activation is a response to Abbas Zahedi’s powerful installation Begin Again, which explores ecological grief and connectivity. The piece uses instruments and playback devices embedded into Tate’s utility pipes and deeper architecture. The sound composition shifts between moments of harmony and disintegration. Each sonic collapse prompts the piece to rebuild, emphasising the power of renewal and beginning again. Saul Eisenberg (2–3pm), Dave Meckin @davemeckin (3–3.30pm), and I (4.15–5pm) will each share our own sonic response to the installation.
