I’ve been looking back on some incredible projects our items have been selected for over the last few years. It’s been a tough couple of months, mainly my own fault in not managing some things too well last year. I’ll be the first to admit I lost track a little so it’s at times like this - when I’m doubting myself that I like to have a little look back and reflect on actually how far I’ve come and images like these make everything so worthwhile. I’ve tagged more details on the images but if you’d like any more info on these projects or information on private sourcing please feel free to get in touch. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Ali x

Pink is a neutral. Like a sweet morning kiss, an overdue catchup with a good friend, a warm enveloping hug at the end of a day, pink gives big feeling. Spring has sprung at H&M Home, and the new collection is ready to thaw our interiors with a fresher, brighter feel inspired by the Riviera lifestyle of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Shop our favorite picks at the link in bio.

La vie en rose Pink is just a wonderful colour to live in - everyone gets a healthy glow in a pink interior. Both my living room and my dining/guest room are pink. And I have plans to paint the main bedroom (the walls of which are a lovely soft green by Paint and Paper Library called Willow) ceiling pink (this will be news for my husband if he’s reading this). This is your sign to hang art above your bed. Especially if you are still in hibernation mode … or you have a tester, half-tester, bed canopy, bed curtain or drapes. Art and fabric is one of the most romantic combinations in interiors. Here’s why designers love it (and why it works): 〰️ Testers, canopies + art Art above a tester bed (full canopy), half-tester, or behind bed hangings instantly adds height, texture, pattern, softness and romance. It breaks up fabric, adds personality, and makes the bed feel considered. 〰️ What kind of artwork? Bedrooms often want something gentle but ultimately it’s the first thing you see each day or what you see as you end your day so make it as personal as you like. It’s less about “matching” and more about mood. 〰️ Fabric + frame magic Gilt frames are beautiful against gathered curtains and pelmets. Natural wood frames feel grounded with linen canopies. It’s the mix of texture that makes it feel rich and layered. 〰️ Scale + placement Aim for one confident piece. It doesn’t need to be big but go too small and it can look lost. 〰️ Practical Securely hung (not one for command strips!). Depending on the fabrics and layout there would be different hanging options. Height placement is key, probably one to go higher than usual on. Bedrooms aren’t galleries, they’re emotional rooms, and a beautiful painting above the bed feels deeply personal and can be such a joy. Would you hang a painting above your bed? Or do you already? #bedroomart #canopybed #testerbed #halftester #beddrapes

A very Kelp Christmas gift guide! Some of my faves from small makers to big creators 🧡 if it’s not on this list I don’t want it! I would be a very happy girl to wake up to any of these on the big day 🎄

I’ve been brainstorming ideas for a new bedroom, and become slightly obsessed with the modern spin on canopy and four-poster beds. It’s the perfect excuse to bring in another fabric, adding drama, texture, and warmth, everything a bedroom should have. Top it off with framed artwork hung on top of the fabric and chef’s kiss 👏🏼.

🎨Cosy calmness🎨 Some recent favourites that exude cosiness, marrying pops of colour with a deep sense of soothing serenity. 1. Elegant, clean and refined (the calm @edwardbulmerpaint walls, square framed art and mirror, uncluttered shelves) but equally not short on character and personality (the warm sink-in sofa, the rug, the playful patterned ottoman) this @sascal.studio sitting room says ‘relax and linger, put your feet up, enjoy’ while retaining an air of sophistication. Stylish, yet warm. Inviting, yet effortlessly cool. The Diane Keaton of sitting rooms. 2. Feminine and earthy, this @heidicaillierdesign bathroom envelops you in a serene, vintage dream. The height of the wall tiles, the cafe curtains, the grounding floor tiles, softly say (in the voice of Meryl Streep) ‘stay here, soak, I’m your sanctuary, I’m your dream, all is well’. 3. this @genevievelavelle room has such a timeless, filmic quality. The gorgeous wallpaper contrasts so well with the blue woodwork, and I desperately want to lounge in that chair, feet perched on the footstool, reading a whimsical novel. V Kirsten Dunst circa Virgin Suicides. 4. The weighty @torimurphytextiles curtain makes this hallway. It whispers ‘winter’s here, come, draw me closed, linger here in this cottage, the outside world need not ever bother us again’. Joanna Lumley then ushers you in for champagne. Ideal. 5. Such a striking blend of modern, masculine elements (the riveted glass panel, the black hardware) coupled with layered soft textiles at the window, the feminine print, the curvaceous bath. This a grown-up, sexy bathroom. This @nicolahardingandco bathroom knows what it wants. It has a better 10-year life plan than 98% of the population. It exudes capability and confidence. It’s the Martha Stewart of bathrooms. #coolandcollected #soothinginteriors #calminteriors #cosyliving #cosyhome
