Here's an orange basin to cheer us up! This tiny cloakroom (is ridiculously hard to shoot) but it's full of fun with floral wallpaper and luxe brass details. It makes me smile, I hope it does you too 🧡

Well it’s safe to say April showers are here! Who else got caught in that torrential rain this afternoon? So for a grey rainy day I thought I’d share this dark cocooning bedroom; a space designed to feel cosy and comforting. We took the colour scheme from the gorgeous hand painted chest my client had owned for years. Originally in the living room we gave it a new lease of life by using it as a bedside table. We painted the room in a dark luxurious green, took the shutters down from the windows and installed cafe curtains and roman blinds to soften the room. And added wooden handles to the existing wardrobes. Little, intentional design choices for the biggest impact.

Tricky rooms are my fave. This loft bedroom had it all going on; slopped ceilings, an exposed brick chimney (off centre!) and a structural post in front of it. To give the room a cohesive feel we wrapped the walls in grasscloth paper and painted the ceiling in a matching hue. Then we layered in pattern and colour to soften the space. It’s become my favourite room in the house.

When the layout works, but the whole room needs refining.
This bathroom was a rip out, redesign & rebuild. To lighten this windowless space we used glossy zellige tiles to reflect and bounce light back into the room. And we designed the bespoke vanity and mirrored storage cabinet to make every inch of space work for this family.

Just as Spring has sprung (hooray!) I thought I’d share this gorgeous dressing room project. When my client moved into her new house she soon realised there was literally no storage. We quickly set about designing and transforming her box room into this joyful space. To keep costs down we used IKEA Pax carcasses and pimped the doors and trims to give the room a bespoke built-in feel. And yes. The wallpaper! It’s by @houseofhackney and it literally makes the room sing. Would love to know what you think.

Bespoke joinery is always worth it. It allows designers to use every inch of space and to create rooms that not only function but also look great (IMHO!)
This little nook is just off my clients entrance hall. It has to house all the family’s coats and serves as both a study and a spare room. Not bad for a room that measures just 3 meters x 1.8 meters.
