We’re honoured to have worked on these campaign elements for the rejoining of adidas and SAFA - a special relationship for so many of us who remember the 2002 and 2010 World Cup with such vivid nostalgia. Bafana Kaofela 🇿🇦

@thebemagugu made his debut in luxury hospitality design at the Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel, with the launch of the Thebe Magugu suite and Magugu House atelier and gallery space. It was only fitting that the launch event captured the essence of the collaboration, with a celebration of African luxury and heritage at its core. We were tasked to conceptualise an experience that gave guests an opportunity to not only celebrate alongside Thebe Magugu and the Mount Nelson, but immerse themselves in the suite, space and the colliding worlds of both entities. “Working with Orlando Pirates is always a huge honour. Internally we joke that no matter what happens, come rain or shine, the jersey does insane numbers, season after season the fans show up and show out. And it’s true. Which is exactly why it’s so important that we honour not just the club heritage but the heart and the hands that hold the Pirates so tightly through every game. When crafting concepts - big or small - I believe in the importance of keeping a childs lens: the wonder, the joy, and the clarity of loving something so much it fills your whole spirit. That’s the energy we embody when we create for OP. One idea kept coming up for this one: that the game lives in every home. I mean, football will always have its sacred spaces, the stadiums, streets, the barber shop, your brother’s phone propped up on the table at Spur. But the home is where it really lives. It’s where we rest, where we lay down our hard days, and where we keep our joy.That became the heart of the campaign. Where do we keep the things we love most? In the home and in the heart. Lost Files 🔎 🗂️ adidas Originals animal print edition Some beautiful film scans from @willysheepskin as he shares some of his thoughts on the project. “This latest maneuver with Room for adidas was a profund joy to play a part in. As soon as I saw the brief I knew there was something special to be had, and as a result of the absolutely incredible team I got to work with things turned out as well as I could possibly have hoped for. Every single person in every department on the shoot day felt like they were giving it their all and knew exactly what they were doing, and I couldn’t have done it without my stellar stills team to help me bring the vision to life. I went all out with my lighting design for this shoot, and having Thekiso, David and Teagan there sharing in the vision was integral to how smoothly it all went for me. A true honour to be able to create this visual ode to my boyhood club. I’ve walked on that Newlands hallowed ground countless times and peaked through that hole in the fence countless more. To be able to go to that stadium was a spiritual experience, the history, the legacy, ethereal in its nature. I’ve said it time and time again, The @dhlstormers is like The Lakers to me, a big franchise. Flair, grit and creativity personified. At home now at DHL stadium, a marvel of innovation ; always pushing the envelope beyond Rugby. A team that embodies its diverse region. Now, the next act of this story is to be written with @adidasza , a return of an icon, a return to family. A jersey that’s signified community, a marker of success and legacy beyond measure. A special thank you to all of the current players, legends and fans for their part in this very short story. My hope is that we do you justice. “The vision for this project was to capture the soul of Marbella and bring it together with the cultural heritage of Orlando Pirates, with Tyler ICU’s new anthem setting the tone. I am so proud of what we achieved in just a few days of shooting and editing. Traveling so far to bring this to life was an honour and it was amazing to connect with the people from Marbella who welcomed us with so much kindness. Some recent work for @adidasza EVO SL with @roomstudio_ (totally not biased, but hands down the best creative studio in Cape Town ♥️ a treat to work with my closest friend and boss babe @robynnnnnn______ ). One of my last few freelance gigs before diving into a brand new adventure: stepping back into the world of 9-5 this September and I’m beyond excited for the structure, the challenge, and everything this next chapter holds!
