Introducing Yay Abe × G-STAR.
In collaboration with Cape Town-based visual artist Russell Abrahams, known as @yay_abe this limited-edition release reinterprets a G-STAR essential through his distinctive artistic perspective.
Known for his bold figurative style and use of saturated colour, Abe brings his visual language into a wearable format - translating fine art into a garment while maintaining the integrity of the original composition.
The design reflects a shared focus on structure and construction: G-STAR’s legacy in denim innovation meets Abe’s approach to compositional architecture.
Developed over more than a year, the result is a considered piece designed to exist beyond seasonal trends.

“The vision for this project was to capture the soul of Marbella and bring it together with the cultural heritage of Orlando Pirates, with Tyler ICU’s new anthem setting the tone.
I am so proud of what we achieved in just a few days of shooting and editing. Traveling so far to bring this to life was an honour and it was amazing to connect with the people from Marbella who welcomed us with so much kindness. Everyone played their part perfectly and I could not be happier with the final product”

Really proud of this one. The cause behind it meant a lot to me. It focused on bringing community together and creating opportunities for the youth through workshops, talks, and a big party to wrap it all up.
The challenge was weaving all those moments into one edit that still felt cohesive. I used sound bites and music shifts to help guide the tempo and make the transitions land right.
Big thank you to @roomstudio_ for the opportunity and to @vahiddavids and his team for executing all the shots so cleanly.
