Call of the Isles is a Scottish anthology curated and published by Glasgow-based publisher Tantallon Tir, founded by brothers John Gerard Fagan and Michael Anthony Fagan. From St Kilda to Samoa, Call of the Isles sails into islands beset with grief, violence, hope, regret, and recovery.

Editor blurb: John Gerard Fagan is the editor of Tantallon Tìr’s 274 Miles (2025) and Call of the Isles (2026). He is also author of the memoir Fish Town (2021) and the historical fiction novel Silent Riders of the Sea (2024). As an Assistant Professor, he taught Literature and Creative Writing at universities in both Scotland and Japan.
