Hahhahaha. No. I could never afford first class. I have been upgraded to premium and thought it was luxury. I could imagine that the space, the ability to fully lay down, the better TV and the ultimate food would be brilliant. I'll never get to though, as a teacher salary does not equate to first class.

My thoughts:
I thought this was a brilliant continuation to the series. The first book was a really good read, so my expectations were high, and the author definitely came through.
The brilliantly strong willed women were once again the perfect character for us to read at present. Reading along as they did not just get told what to do our how to be, and they did what they wanted and fought for things, was excellent and a very great feeling.
The array of characters was done very well and really made it interesting. I liked that they each had their own quirks and this made it even more fun to enjoy the interactions within the group and in the story.
I liked the setting and how well the author described the surroundings and the effect of it being in the past. I found it exciting to see how they got through things.
Overall it was a really good second book and has made for an enjoyable series.

My thoughts: This book is an absolute whirlwind. If you are like me, you will be able to dive in and be truly gripped, from start to finish.
The book offers something that is completely nerve wracking and life altering for the two main characters, but before we even get there, we find that Billie is hiding a past and she has had issues with our baddie before. This already starts us on very tense grounds. Then we jump to now and all she is trying to do is get away, but the person she tries to trust is aiming to use her in a way. When they both find out someone is trying to treat them like his own wee puppets, this book takes a very dark and very tense turn.
I really like how the tension and emotions are built up, until they are sly high, as that is exactly how someone would feel, in real life, if they had someone following and trying to ruin everything they are. It is creepy, fast paced and such a good read.

Billie is hiding from the world in fear of a man who nearly destroyed her. But a chance meeting with budding journalist, Adam, sparks a relationship that could free her from her life of isolation and fear.
Unbeknown to Billie, Adam knows exactly who Billie is and is determined to expose her and get justice for the lives he believes she has ruined. But first, he needs to convince her to open up to him. As an unwanted attraction blossom between them, Adam comes to realise that all is not as it seems.
Who is really pulling the strings? And are Adam and Billie both being played?
One thing is for sure, The Master wants his puppets back – and he’ll do anything to keep them.

My thoughts: I have always enjoyed books where they are trying to solve a crime like fire, as it takes so much detail and evidence and it is just so interesting.
This book is fast paced, gripping and full of all that detail I love. I did find that sometimes it felt like some detail was rushed through or glossed over, but for the most part, there was a very engaging, detail oriented and it has some huge, absolutely huge, twists and unexpected outcomes, which then led you to a whole new direction and they run with it, whilst you try to solve. It is a proper whirlwind and I liked the journey.
I thought the characters worked really with the story. Again, I found they were detailed and added so much to the feel of the story because of this.
I think the pace was really well matched as it felt like the urgency was show perfectly. Overall, I thought the book was good.

My thoughts: I found this book absolutely bonkers, in such a good thriller way. You are thrown all over the world, not knowing why or what is happening. Then it comes to light that people are being hunted by tech. What kind of creepy is this? You cannot control anything and the danger is tech, which is all round you and in everything. What a great book to point out something people have as a worry, in the back of their minds.
I thought it was written well and was very interesting throughout. I liked the characters and the parts they played in the book. It all flowed well and made an interesting read.

My thoughts: I found this book quite interesting. It was a bit different from what I was expecting and that is not always a bad thing. This time it gave a secondary idea of what would be taking place and in a pretty exciting way.
The main characters are given a decent background and a good level of detail, in order to give us the base of this story. It is on where the little details matter.
I found the pace ok, as it did have some quicker paced moments, blended with steady progress to really give us time to think, process the details and really try to decide what is going on behind the scenes.
The pace added to the story and built up some of the tension we needed to push this book into the later stages.
I found the supporting details really made this book and I liked that the end of the book was as it was.
Overall, I enjoyed this book.
I do. I will happily sit far away and people watch, but do not want to interact, if possible. I have heard quite a few hilarious things. Some medical descriptions you should not share, some very odd proposal plans and someone making very unique stuffed toys from very odd things.

My thoughts: This is such a stunning piece. It tells not only the journey of love between to people at a very trying time, but also a historical moment in time is captured and it shows the tensions and difficulties that were experienced by so many people. A lot of these types of difficulties still arise on and around that regions, so it is very enlightening to read from the perspective of this story.
It was very touching to get to know the two main characters and really see who they were as people, and then see the beauty of the love the two of them share. Then the heartache as they grew closer, wanting nothing more to to have their love, but us knowing that there was a sense of doom hanging over them and their wished for future.
I really enjoyed the journey of this book, though it was heartbreaking and also uplifting at some times. It shows how different lives can be in other parts of the world and what that does to everything, including bonds and love.

As their relationship deepens, so too does the danger. What begins as a tender romance becomes a harrowing journey through state surveillance, political violence and heart-breaking sacrifice. A Tibetan Girl Called Ata is a powerful meditation on loyalty, identity, and the human cost of silence. My thoughts: Yes!!! We need more proudly sapphic representation on reading. We have seen a rise in M/M reads and I love that, but the same rise didn't really happen and then the lovely Maude found her niche, quite clearly with this success of a book, and has given us the nerdy theatre women we need and even better, they have the hots for each other!
This is such a brilliant read for those of us who grew up on and still adore theatre. It is a fabulous story of two very strong and passionate women, who know what they want, deep down , but fear the outcome for what seems to be many reasons. Then we have the glorious theatre aspect of the book. It doesn't focus on this, so those who don't know theatre or just dabble are still more than about to fall madly in love with the journey, and those who are theatre nerds and swoon over our love of the stage.
Then there is the collection of cast members. Our main ladies are strong, talented and full of spark. The supporting cast offer a brilliant side journey, and I stop to wonder if we may see any spin-offs. I loved our two leading ladies as they really seemed almost to have two sides. They are stubborn and always know what they want, but also almost lost in that they don't know if they can have what they want and their careers. I really enjoyed seeing how the story unfolded and the outcome by the end. It is written very well and does not hide the beautiful sapphic love story.

Such a read!!! Keep an eye for my review, buy in three words: emotional, addicting, loved!

From the bestselling author of Always You and Me comes a heart-stirring story of connection, courage and the kind of love that lasts forever.
One summer storm. One split second. Two lives changed forever.
Ellie Harker doesn't believe in fate, only hard work and keeping her heart safe. Rhys Davies used to believe in love, until heartbreak left him focused on his little girl. When lightning strikes them both, an unexplainable connection sparks between two strangers.
The Wonder of You is a tender, emotional story of second chances, unexpected connections and the kind of love that arrives when you least expect it.
No. I've not actually been invited to many weddings at all. Not sure what that says about me. Well, actually I know exactly what it says. We didn't want a destination fully, as we live in Scotland, but we wanted to get married on a mountain, but we were forbidden 🤣😂
