We finally finished our short film LOTUS.
It’s been a long journey to get here but I couldn’t be prouder of the film as it begins its festival journey.
I'm hugely grateful to the many Kickstarter patrons who helped bring the film into existence. And thank you to Ellis, Matt, Robbie, Matt Nee and Hannah at Lane Casting for their generous time and support. ❤️And, of course, to legendary jungle producer M-Beat for kindly letting us use his banger “Incredible” as our score. 🙏🏻 As my mate Orson Wells says, 'A writer needs a pen, an artist needs a brush, but a filmmaker needs an army.'

Throw back to the first music video I shot back in 2015 for @otherlives after jumping ship from a secure full time job in advertising. Eek. The video pitches dance elegance against the agression of fencing. Feels like it still holds up 🙌🏻

I had great fun directing this one for Benenden Health...featuring a 6ft bright pink price point, an epic 4ft tower of macaroons, and a 2ft deep trench (which a cricket club very kindly allowed us to dig in the middle of their pitch).

This is one of Shakespeare's little-known plays that I first heard about when Ian McKellen performed a scene from it as a monologue. The power of its message about immigration really stuck with me and I felt it would make a great little short film.
So in 2018 when the Calais camp was still standing DOP @jackwilkinsondop , Actors @johnjackbeale & @laurestock producer @alexpaterakis and myself headed over to the jungle stage a reinterpretation of the scene.
It was an eye opening experience and with everything that is happening now within our own UK detention centres it felt apt to share it on here.
