Inspired by the album artwork and ecological concepts of artist/architect Luc Schuiten, and created in the Unreal 5 game engine, this video has been a huge labour of love from Alex.
“When I first heard the album, I was immediately drawn to ‘Apex’. I felt like it had an incredible narrative arc and stood out as the emotional highlight on the record. The main inspiration was the work of Luc Schuiten who created the incredible cover art 'La Ville Creuse' for the album, and I guess I wanted to dive into the painting and explore this world in depth. Luc’s wonderful architectural concepts intertwine biomimicry and a sense of futuristic optimism - something we rarely explore this side of the millennium, and I wanted to capture this “Solar Punk” feeling of optimism and wonder.”

My first Casually Here album 'Kept' has turned 10! 🌿🌱🍃
To mark the 10 year anniversary, the album is available to download for free on Bandcamp, and copies of the handsome transparent green 12" are available for £10.
It's a record I'm very proud of which I think of as a kind of sound sculpture. If you haven't heard it, check it out, and please feel free to share it with anyone you think might enjoy it.
...and just to let you know... there's a bunch of new music coming soon.... some from the archives that I've been meaning to release for years... and I can also confirm that CH3 is mastered, the artwork is almost done, and it's just about ready to press... so more news on all that soon :)

I'm really proud of this one. Luke and I first worked together back in 2018 following a chance meeting in the corridors of Atomic in Bermondsey, where we both had our studios at the time. His debut album has been a long time coming and it was great to work on it together all these years later. Luke produced the whole ambitious jazz and soul inspired record himself, which features big modern synth moments next to tender, intimate ones, all tied together by great songwriting and Luke's inimitable vocals and beautiful sax playing.
