Documentation of ‘MARKET / PLACE’, a six week long Art Residency with Olive at Sunshine Art Space, via Brimbank City Council. Whilst the residency element has come to a close, Olive and I have installed our findings at Sunshine Library in the library cabinets, to be on display for the next six weeks. ‘MARKET / PLACE’ Art Residency, captured by @lowproductivity - This is a joint art residency between Olive Gilbert (@olive_made ) and myself, we have been working out of Sunshine Art Centre, via Brimbank Council for 5 weeks, creating art in response to the city of Sunshine, namely the markets, light and food. It is process-based, so whilst launch night was last week we will be continuing until the 6th March. Works are available to purchase - Olive creates woven macrame bags with found objects and rope from Sunshine, and I have painted a collection of landscape studies of Sunshine.
