More and more, hair is becoming part of the statement and we loved seeing Gary choose it as another way to express himself so colourfully, confidently and unapologetically.
As @aushairfashionawards Creative Colourist of the Year, and Technical Director for the Australian Fashion Week 2026 x Gary Bigeni runway show, Jack brought colour into Fashion Week in such a considered, expressive way. This partnership couldn’t feel more perfect. It’s all about finding your colour and owning it.

Both recently flew into Sydney for HMU trials, with Jack coming back in specifically for Gary’s show look. It’s a lot of planning, travel, testing and reworking behind the scenes that no one really sees on the day.

Our second year collaborating with Gary Bigeni at @afcaustralianfashionweek , set against the iconic backdrop of the MCA Sydney.
The hair direction was centred around individuality — enhancing natural texture, embracing diversity and creating looks that felt effortless yet expressive on every model. From soft movement and lived-in texture to sculptural details and statement headwear, each look was designed to complement the bold colour, shape and emotion of the collection.
This year, we worked with Gary to incorporate @showponyhairextensions extensions and bring colour directly into the hair — creating a real standout moment on the runway and adding an extra layer of depth and vibrancy to the overall vision.
Fashion sits at the core of everything we do — and this collaboration is where it really comes to life. Hair and design working as one language, building a unified vision from backstage to runway.

Chromatic Instinct at the @aushairfashionawards 2026 Awards was all about the moments you don’t always see, the teamwork, the last-minute tweaks, the creative energy backstage, then the full impact under the lights.
Led by Hair Director, @______renyaxydis______ and created with Wella Professionals and @ghdpro_anz , the show fused editorial hair direction, sculptural shapes and flowing texture, finished with a colour story that glowed in metallic pastels with earthy depth.
