I'm grateful to have been part of a passionate and hardworking team of creatives and seeing this captivating vision materialise! Kiala's impressive collection is handcrafted between Berlin and Accra, celebrating timeless heritage merged with modern designs that empower individuals to adorn and style their natural hair.

My work ‘Refraction’ explores transmutation of celestial bodies in their refracted form. It bends, breaks, distorts, it’s an invitation to a vessel leading you to a portal where your incarnation awaits on the other side. Refraction asks, “what distorts your perceptions?”.
The image was from my shoot with @dasnea_ our conversations deeply moved and inspired me to alchemise the image into my piece 'Refraction'. Her words still ring through " I’ve seen my body become a canvas and an instrument where Pain is the inspiration for creation. Thorns turn to blooms, pain becomes art, the tsunami of emotions ease to waves of flow state. To dance is to dive deep into myself to explore, to connect to the wisdom, to lose control. This has been the epitome of what it means to me to be an artist..." 𖥔
