Making a game in real life. 🎬🔻 A sneak peak at how “Your way out” for @coinbase was made — almost everything was shot entirely for real, in-camera. Directed by Oscar Hudson. Deliberately pixelated sets, actors choreographed to move like NPC’s, masks with their own faces printed back onto them, painted costume and lighting that cast no shadows. Grand Jury Prize & Most Innovative Film at Venice Critics Week @settimana_della_critica as well as an extracurricular award from the @isolaedipo youth jury too :) It was already an overwhelmingly heady honour just to launch Straight Circle in the prestigious environs of the @labiennale but to come away with 3 prizes leaves me dizzy and in need of a long sit down. Today we got stranded on a featureless desert, and made the acquaintance of two VERY different enemy soldiers. At one point - don't lie! - we even picked out which one to root for. But then things started going south. And everything started spinning. And we started seeing double. Oh, and also weird things were falling from the sky at one point? (if you know, you know).
