Here are ten of my favorite architecture images from the last ten years, in no specific order. I got my first camera almost ten years ago to the day, and what an amazing ride it's been. These are my favorites for a variety of reasons; some career-defining gigs, insane "pinch me" moments, or just pure serendipity. Psyched for the next decade. In print: @distanzverlag 's new book 'Villa Aurora' chronicles the storied history of one of the Pacific Palisades' most important landmark homes, from its beginnings as a Los Angeles Times showcase home designed by Mark Daniels (one of California's most influential architects and planners), built to display the leading building technologies of the era, to the home of German refugees and artists during and after WWII, to coming within mere feet of being a total loss in the Palisades Fire of 2025, to its restoration and return to use, it has been a real career highlight to collaborate with the publisher and staff at @villaaurorala and @thomas_mann_house to bring this vision to life. While I only played a small part, I am so enamored with how the project turned out. Big congratulations to all involved!
California Science Center's new Samuel Oschin Pavilion for @zgfarchitects .
Very much looking forward to revisiting this project when the interiors are completed with all of the incredible artifacts and exhibits - including the Space Shuttle Endeavor - fully installed!
The Michelle and Barack Obama Sports Complex redevelops and expands a Los Angeles sports facility that formerly served as the training grounds for the likes of Venus and Serena Williams and a number NFL players who got their start here with the Dorsey High football team.

I visited NASA's Michoud Assembly Plant to photograph the Orion Crew Capsule and the SLS Launch Vehicle which you may have seen in the news lately. A very memorable day! So cool to see these pieces absolutely soar off the launch pad with four crew perched inside the capsule on top of those massive rocket motors.
