Introducing the Bronze and Black House. Located in Los Angeles, the residence is organized around a simple yet defining gesture: connecting the ends of two hillside cul-de-sac streets with a north-running straight line that establishes the plan and site diagram.
The studio/guest house is conceived as a simple rectangular volume resting directly on the ground, its form grounded and solid. In contrast, the main house appears to hover above the landscape, its mass lifted by a system of slender columns and shear walls.
The buildings are wrapped in an anodized bronze, aluminum slat rainscreen that mitigates heat and water intrusion, while smooth black aluminum panels accentuate openings and articulate the façade’s precision.
Significant amounts of exterior space surround all programmatic components, allowing the house to capture 360-degree views and extend daily life outward into the landscape.

House on Siena Way, a home tucked into a steep hillside lot in Bel Air.
The 14,000 SF home appears relatively modest from the street, but it is secretly expansive and holds a fluid-like, organic shape. The entry-level consists mostly of ‘public’ spaces: the living room, dining room, kitchen, and an expansive 20-foot-wide shaded deck overlooking the Bel-Air Country Club. A level down, the mini-master, three bedrooms, den, and the lower entry open to a large cantilevered lower deck with a trapezoidal-shaped swimming pool.
Uniting the interior is a restrained palette and consistent finishes: walls are white and floors are walnut, as is the wall paneling. The stone throughout is light beige, a color that is repeated in the travertine entry wall. Large amounts of glass with black anodized aluminum frames allow ample light and ventilation into the home.

Perched atop a Bel Air hilltop, Orum Residence is a three-level, 18,800-square-foot home designed to subtly ‘float’ above its environs.
Given its prominent positioning above a relatively developed neighborhood, the motivation behind the design of the home was to create a residence that could meld into its surroundings while maximizing views. The three-story structure, which takes on the shape of a three-winged propeller, is wrapped in glass that mirrors its sweeping views of the Los Angeles Basin, unobstructed from the Getty Center to Long Beach, Century City, and Downtown.

Developed as part of an international competition, the Cantos National Music Centre uniquely combines a performing arts venue, music museum, music education facility, and a blues bar.
The proposal reimagines the historic King Eddy as part of a larger cultural armature, wrapped in glass and lifted to align with a new public lobby.
At its core, a multi-level “bridge” fuses programmatic elements into a continuous spatial experience. A central canted atrium—the Soundscape—visually and acoustically connects the building, transmitting sound between performance spaces and public zones. Clad in wood and shaped like the interior of an instrument, the space becomes both circulation and performance—architecture tuned as much for sound as for form.
