Play for Today “The Quiet Hour” - Delivered!
Last year, I directed my first episode of TV for the Play For Today series with Vertigo Films, C5 and Paramount. The Quiet Hour follows the night shift of an NHS nurse on an understaffed ward.
Here’s a sneak peek of a couple of behind-the-scenes stills with a few of our amazing crew. Keep your eyes peeled for more soon. Can’t wait for you all to see what our super-talented team have created when it airs later this year!

Channel 5/ Vertigo Films
Really fun to be back on a project with Director @margo.roe . Here’s a few bits from some testing we did at the end of last year, just before shooting our episode of Play for Today, “The Quiet Hour”, for Channel 5 with Vertigo Films airing later this year 👀
Special thanks to the one and only @_steadilee_ , and a massive thanks to @arri_rental for supporting us on the project. And for @robbiewmayo for spending the day and helping us out!

Happy International Women’s Day 💫 there are so many women who continue to support the work of @throughadifferentlensuk and me personally but this week I want to ‘big up’ two incredible filmmakers. @margo.roe and Isabelle who took the time this week to chat through some collaborations and support my creative development with funding applications! 🤓 I’m super grateful to have built these relationships but also excited for the work they are creating. Friendship, support and a proper giggle 🤭 have never been needed more! I’ll be sharing more reflections and also looking forward to screening some female led films on the 19th March with a bonus screening on the 22nd March (to be revealed next week) Ladies, we got this and always 💁🏾♀️✨ #iwd #collaborations #connection #community
FRI-YAY! We made it 🎉 We are celebrating the end of the week by revealing the final film for our Creative Connection event in collaboration with @directors_uk on Thursday 6th November. We'll be screening 'Pop' Set within a forgotten Midlands village. POP follows a true tale about gender identity and social expectation. Jack, who befriends a lawless convict as a father figure in the hope of understanding his masculinity. Directed by @margo.roe we'll be showcasing this fantastic film staring @stephengraham1973 at @rdgbiscuitfactory at 6.30pm (doors from 6pm) with Margo joining us to share how she got the film made. And as a thank you, each ticket comes with a free drink 🍻(no alcohol option also available) This event is one of two celebrations of independent film we'll be hosting next week with our film festival 💫 happening on Saturday 8th November (updates and news from tomorrow) Secure your tickets 🎟 to both events via the link in our bio. Supported with thanks by @bfinetworkfhse we can't wait to share great films, learn from the directors and network and chat after the screening #rdg #filmmakers #directors
