ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Ruby Portus is a UK based dancer and choreographer. Her choreography playfully combines movement and character to subvert conventions that she believes are past their sell-by date. She has created commissioned works for Sadler’s Wells, Good Chance Theatre’s The Walk and Northern School of Contemporary Dance as well as her own Arts Council England funded projects. She was an inaugural Young Associate at Sadler’s Wells.
Ruby’s performance credits include a recent Japanese Tour of Dawns y Ceirw by National Dance Company Wales

Áine (they/them) is a queer interdisciplinary dance artist based in Leeds. Áine’s practice, whilst rooted in contemporary dance and improvisation, draws from various forms including theatre, comedy and live music, and is informed by queerness,
anti-capitalist and anti-oppressive politics.
They graduated from London Contemporary Dance School and have since worked as a
devising performer across dance, theatre and improvisation with artists such as
@maresa_von_stockert Tilted
Productions/Maresa Von Stockert, Ine Claes,
@speedwelldance , and
@andersduckworth .
They are a founder member of
@badbodychaoscode a pop-punk band and collective that
makes euphoric, surreal and subversive performances.
