This afternoon NFTS students sat down with BAFTA & Emmy winning screenwriter, steadfast disability advocate and NFTS Fellow Jack Thorne (Adolescence, Lord Of The Flies, Enola Holmes).
Jack discussed his writing process and shared valuable advice on creating a more inclusive and accessible film and TV production landscape that empowers disabled talent.
In 2025, as part of the school's ongoing commitment to removing barriers to world-class screen industry training, Jack unveiled the NFTS Accessible Living Bursary. This bursary will fully fund on-site, purpose-built accommodation for physically disabled students for the entire duration of their course.
A huge thanks to Jack for taking the time out of his busy schedule, and for his support in the NFTS's mission to level the playing field for disabled creatives.
