Sam Moy Johnson (via: LinkedIn) created the effects for the capstone short “Animayhem” in collaboration with 11 students at Purdue University. He used Vellum for cloth, saliva, caution tape, and gore effects, RBD for destruction, pyro for dust, and POP and FLIP for fluids. Solaris and USD were used for scene assembly and lighting, rendered with Karma.

@hyun_k_3d created this shot with Houdini and Nuke. The water, cloth, leaves, and lanterns are influencing each other in a two-way interaction with a single Vellum solver. They were responsible for all aspects except the character body animation and lantern modeling.
