Wednesday was a visit to Moreton-in-Marsh to catch up with @jennyhollidaycoach as we are planning a webinar in September where we share our PR and journalism expertise - so watch this space!
Thursday night, the hottest day of the year so far, it was a Christmas party with @worcestershireconcierge and @cannins_ltd to celebrate the 10th anniversary of @three.counties.christmas@sixwaysstadium - it was a great night and as you would expect there were Christmas trees,🎄 reindeer, 🦌 snowmen, ⛄️ and Christmas carols 🎶 I’m used to doing Christmas press shows in July with retail clients but this was the earliest Christmas party I had ever attended and I’m here for it! 🧑🎄

April is National Pet Month and it’s also National Pet Day today 🐾
@life_of_riley2021 brings in the work, and is probably the most demanding client, but is very much part of Queen Bee Comms.
From appearing in magazines like @cotswoldlife , being a model for @threepinmedia while attending networking events like @cotswoldshuddle , coming to meetings to see @thatcotswoldsconsultant@jennyhollidaycoach and @bemortravel ; capturing content wherever we meet people like @daylesfordfarm for his social channels, getting involved in training with the @carryingtheweighttogether team, affiliate and brand work with the likes of @trip.drinks , attending webinars with @meta , supporting worthwhile charities like @birmingham_dogs_home to brand repping for the most wonderful businesses like @sausagedogbox and our very own small business @simplysnoodz - he works for a living!

What an Easter Bank Holiday…

One 85kg log - the weight of the average man.
31 miles across the Worcestershire Way across 3 days from Bewdley to Malvern.
A target of £1,500 to raise money for @cwwmind which they have smashed and so far have raised over £4,400. All the money will be used in Worcestershire to help with local mental health services.
It just goes to show that Carrying the Weight Together can make all the difference. So proud of them for shining the light on men’s mental health and breaking down the stigma.

On Wednesday I spent the day @lordsofthemanor
It’s a beautiful hotel, one I hadn’t come across before, until I was invited to this meeting. The hotel is first class, the staff were friendly and attentive, the setting was simply stunning and it was also extremely dog friendly and @life_of_riley2021 was completely spoilt which he totally took advantage of.
It was a great day of meetings in a beautifully, inspiring location. I love meeting new people, chatting through our businesses, discussing challenges people were facing and sharing ideas and solutions. We also talked about becoming more green and sustainable with people from all different walks of life, just so we are doing our bit!
It was a great day and I can’t wait for the next one.

I love meeting new people and being outdoors in the countryside so when @mettelacey and @bemortravel invited me to @fatsquirreloutdoor for a Conversation and Campfire meet up, I jumped at the chance.
Sat round the fire, drinking tea and eating S’mores warmed my heart and soul, and it was lovely to meet Kate and the others at this fantastic location. I also saw hares, red kites and millions of pheasants (my faves) on the lovely journey to and from the Cotswolds.
This is my kind of networking!

I was a a busy bee last week…
It started with a @cotswoldshuddle@stratton_house_hotel_spa seeing friends and meeting new people.
Wednesday night was a pre-record radio interview in Malvern with @carryingtheweighttogether and @elliotburrow for @bauermedia.uk and what a spot we chose as the view was incredible.
Alex, Jack, Jamie, Jordan and Ben - the lads behind @carryingtheweighttogether are taking on a fantastic challenge over Easter by carrying an 85kg log across the Worcestershire Way to raise money for @cwwmind so please give them a follow and support if you can!!
Then it was #worldbookday2026 so @life_of_riley2021 had to get involved wearing @simplysnoodz and his superhero outfit 🦸♂️
Then I was lucky to be off to @crufts@necbirmingham for two days to help @sausagedogbox and @surgerysuit and help on the stand to sell their beautiful products which @life_of_riley2021 and I love. I got to meet all their lovely customers and see all the beautiful dogs. Plus see my fringe icon Claudia Winkleman!
The weekend was spent on a course, working on a pitch and catching up - hence why this is so late but what I loved about the week was the variety and the different experiences. In my world no day is the same and I love that. Plus being freelance means you can be flexible and adaptable when it comes to doing the work and meeting deadlines.

I’ve had the privilege of mentoring with @creativementornetwork through @sohohouse - a brilliant charity supporting young people from working-class backgrounds into the creative industries
Coming from a working-class family myself (and still proudly carrying my accent), I know first-hand how daunting the industry can feel when you’re starting out. I grew up in a small town known for its carpets, where my family worked, and when I began my career I didn’t know a single person in the creative world. That’s exactly why I wanted to become a mentor — and why I’ve committed to doing so for the past two years.
I’ve been fortunate in my career. Whether through luck, naivety, or sheer determination, I don’t feel my background has held me back — but it has required hard work, resilience, and perseverance. I also couldn’t have done it without building a strong community and having employers who were willing to take a chance on me. That matters still to to this day.
Over the last 16 weeks, I’ve been incredibly lucky to mentor Emelia Johnson @emjmediaproductions — a future film producer in the making. Truly, watch this space.
Working with Emelia has been an absolute joy. We’ve focused on her development, refined her personal brand, opened up my network to her, and gently pushed her beyond her comfort zone. She has embraced every challenge with confidence and curiosity.
On Tuesday night, at the programme Showcase, several mentees shared their journeys. It was a special evening — and seeing Emelia take to the stage and present so beautifully was a proud moment. She was confident, assured, and radiating the growth she’s achieved in just 16 weeks.
Experiences like this remind me why giving back is so important. The future of the creative industries depends on young people knowing these careers are accessible — and having the support, guidance and belief to pursue them.
