When it comes to vintage Hermès scarves, “there’s a motif for everyone”, says specialist dealer Abigail Goodman. But which ones are the “grails”? Look out for 1950s cowboy designs by Texan artist Kermit Oliver and those with concealed little monkeys by Annie Faivre, says @kittygrady . Print isn’t dead because it’s made by humans with taste @neptune_papers — the independent magazine by @williamsdaytona named after his dog, is built on pure personal vision. ISSUE 14: CALIFORNIA. The best of the Golden State according to our well placed friends, the artists, dreamers, writers. It’s the spiritual home of cinema, so of course we visit Hollywood, with cover stars Alana Haim and Jeff Bridges, and a profile on Sue Mengers. But there are also indie icons like Charles Burnett, Latin legend Danny Trejo, Maria Zardoya, Ed Ruscha. It is best devoured start to end, like a good, slow, burpy lunch at Musso and Frank’s. But while working on this, I carried the view from a particular cafe in Santa Barbara. I breakfasted there at a decade ago, a pause while driving from San Francisco to the border. Out staring at the ocean, toes in the sand… Total freedom; who cares what happens tomorrow? Who knows which page you’ll turn to? That’s the spirit of California. With direction from captain @charlespfinch and the talents of Fatima, Luke, KG, Anna, K Spice, Lauren and Dr Zeiher, California is now everywhere, but particularly all major book shops and newsstands. Issue 15 soon. Do rabbits dream of electric sheep? 🤖

Jonah Freud, co-founder of @referencepoint180 , London’s sexiest library-bar-bookshop, picks out the best art books or “visual literature” to get your hands on. (No white gloves required.) We met Freud, and three others championing print media, at the link in bio. 📸: @sirui.ma , 📹: @referencepoint180 . . . . . . #books #art #library

Who thinks print is sexy? 🙋🏻‍♀️ @jonahfreud and his new venture with @sophiadowsonc puts paper products front and centre. @referencepoint180 is a library, with more than 10,000 rare photobooks, catalogues and magazines to pick through. Plus beer. “No white gloves, no dark wood,” says Freud of the space which doubles as a bar and nightclub. “I didn’t want anything that you wouldn’t put your feet on.” Read all about it, plus the other paper boys putting their faith in print in this weekend’s @fthtsi . Also online - but why would you even when the magazine is on newsstands now?! Interview by @kittygrady . Pictures by @sirui.ma

These Walls That Protect Us Gallery44, Primrose Hill Gallery44 presented the public opening of Myriame Dachraoui’s residency exhibition. Across the townhouse, interiors and landscapes unfolded in dialogue with the domestic architecture, works held in quiet tension between protection and exposure. The exhibition remains on view. Private appointments available. Photography @milianeyes #Galkery44 #MyriameDachraoui #EmergingArtist #ArtistResidency

‘From the outside, there is something a bit witchy about it,’ says Tom Bartlett, the founder and director of the architecture and interior design firm Waldo Works. ‘It does feel like Hansel and Gretel might live here.’ Bartlett is talking to me about Bridge Lodge, an idyllic, high-Victorian house situated in the grounds of Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire, part of an estate that once belonged to the Rothschilds that was bequeathed to the nation @alixelay @emily.k.tobin @kittygrady @the.artists.at.work

@byunghun0712 for @arabbitsfoot I love the notion that when photographing, the space around the event becomes heightened, in some way. Actors often talk about being on stage or on set as existing and developing the emotions of a space and I try to approach the space where I take pictures as having some sort of elevated feeling. With very little time to plan or shoot anything, I reacted purely to the incredible grace that @byunghun0712 brought into the room. In moments, I was taken aback by his ability to understand himself in a picture. As soon as the camera came up, there was this honesty and clarity of vision that came immediately (something that only rarely happens after spending hours or days with someone). It was a true pleasure to picture a master of their craft. Thank you @arabbitsfoot @chriscotonou @kittygrady
