The @hardmatterrecords crew is launching their new party, Late Sessions, on Oct 17 at @waitingroomn16 for a night of no-nonsense, groovin house with special guest Lyla (@mlylasaifi ). Straight out of Karachi, she's been making waves from Pakistan's first ever @boilerroomtv to curating charity nights back home. Her energy behind the decks is commanding yet joyful, with an encyclopedic knowledge of music that flows seamlessly through her selections. She's joined by local talent @beechesdj and Hardmatter's own @jvxta_ and Zapata for a night where music tells the whole story. Deep house is far from dead, and this is where the real heads unite. The Hardmatter crew returns to @waitingroomn16 with their new party series, Late Sessions, and are excited to inaugurate the new London night with special guest @mlylasaifi . Lyla's distinctive touch is infectious and present in everything she does. Straight out of Karachi, Pakistan, she's been making waves from being part of the lineup at Pakistan's first-ever @boilerroomtv to curating her own nights at "Sunny Side Up!", an organisation whose profits go towards sustainable energy resources and providing training opportunities in remote villages of Northern Pakistan. Her energy behind the decks is commanding yet joyful, with an encyclopedic knowledge of music that flows seamlessly through her fluid selections. That infectious smile and pure happiness she radiates make every set feel like a celebration. For this special showcase at The Waiting Room, we've brought together some of our favourite selectors to round out the evening. Local talent @beechesdj will also be behind the controls, not to mention HM's very own @jvxta_ and Zapata. Less than 2 weeks until Joe Davies @joe__assamjr touches down in London to play the @waitingroomn16 on March 22nd. The @lehultrec co-founder will be celebrating his debut album release on @smallville_records with support from @jvxta_ [@scissorandthread ], @djantepop [@invertedaudio ] and special guest @beechesdj [@no.rewinds ]. As the year draws to a close, I wanted to thank everyone for their amazing support and for all the incredible opportunities and parties we've had throughout 2023! I am also excited to announce that "The Stolen Child" from my debut album earlier this year has been included in Scissor & Thread's newest compilation "Tailored Cuts Vol. 5". To see my work alongside visionaries and talents such as @francisscissor , @grant.la , @zansikalachhani , @alex_albrecht_music , @hidden.spheres , @blacklightsmoke , @anne.villete , @_nadia.khan , Rosas Nievas and @bagoiengry is truly humbling. The end of September saw me join the @projindigo fam for a remix ep alongside talents such as @lawrence_dial , @loufvalbyrotary , @soelaela , @nocturne_rhc and my good friend @al_zanders . With some incredible and varied reimagingings of @boaksi_ 's gorgeous original tracks, this release is not to be missed! As a long time reader of DJ Mag, I'm absolutely blown away to see my face in this month's issue as one of the "four acts popping off this month"! Featured alongside rising talents @lydiaaletha , @themusicofomar and @ex.sses , @djannawall has written a glowing piece detailing my work with @hardmatterrecords as well as my recent releases, including my debut album "Euston Blues" which came out earlier this year on @scissorandthread . Huge thanks to @fazemag for featuring my debut album and an interview with me in their April issue. I am also humbled to announce that Euston Blues was reviewed in the print magazine and graded 9/10! I'm so grateful for the amazing reception of the LP among so many outlets and am blown away that the vinyl has now sold out at multiple stores including @decks.de , @redeyerecordsuk and many more! Thank you to everyone who's supported the record and helped this release get heard. It's been a long journey with this project and to have it so well received has been a whirlwind over the past few weeks.
