ARC ~ artist highlight ~ ex.sses ex.sses is an experimental producer and DJ, blending heavy bass, broken drums and heady textural sounds. From her resident shows on @balamii to guest mixes for @nts_radio , @kindred_ldn and @kiosk.radio she has developed a distinct bass-led palette of sounds, unconfined by genres. ex.sses’ ties to experimental sound and club culture have manifested in releases on @tt_label , @bait__music , @tra.verse , @glint_music and other established underground labels. follow me is up on my bandcamp for free download. it’s a track I wrote in winter just before the shift to spring when the sky was dark. is nice to think of it out now when the bass can move through slower and warmer evenings. SAT 04/04/26 This Easter bank-holiday weekend, Formant Soundsystem and ORMSIDE come together for the third time with a night of visceral, mutant club hybrids and other full-frontal sounds. @lee___gamble is an artist, electronic music composer, and DJ. Over the last several years Lee has released a string of critically acclaimed albums and EPs on seminal electronic music labels @pan__hq and @hyperdubrecords creating his own @_u._.i._.q_ imprint in 2015. His work intersects with installation, performance, written text, technology, sound design and music. His writing was recently published in the book Audint—Unsound: Undead (Urbanomic) and his essay on the voice and its synthetic simulations ‘Dual Space’ was published via @shelter_press in 2023. He has presented work internationally, at Southbank Centre, Tate Modern, ICA London, MMCA, Seoul, MoMA PS1, New York, Sonar Festival, MAC Musée d’art Contemporain, Montréal, Maison de la Radio et de la Musique, Paris and Palace of Culture and Science, Warsaw. @reni_ldn is the alias of Lauren Bush, a DJ & producer based in South London. Born in Birmingham and later raised in Dorset, re:ni’s sub-heavy sound marries deep, dank dub sonics with dark & twisted mutations of techno, jungle and dubstep, characteristic of her label, party and radioshow “re:lax” which she runs with @hessleaudio affiliate @laksaukmusic . Following her steady rise as an internationally recognised DJ, having played institutions like De School, fabric and Panorama Bar multiple times, re:ni released her debut 12” Revenge Body on @ilian_tape in 2022. Her second EP BeautySick came out via Batu’s @timedance_uk label in 2024, as well as her first 12” on her own imprint. Last month she returned to Ilian Tape with Bass is the Space, a dub-focused 4 tracker in collaboration with her father BiggaBush. EXIT is the new collaborative project between @ex.sses and @grady__steele Through the medium of a live/DJ hybrid set, expect immersive world-building focusing on paralleling bonerattling power electronics and tactile industrial ambience. One of the most technically gifted celebrants of the scene at large, with recent repeat appearances behind the stacks at the legendary @tanumsound parties. @ex.sses b2b @fossafossa - two crucial voices within the more subterranean side of the UK queer & dance scene, and founders of the Lilith parties, Esme & Anjali invite us to imagine the extents of what’s possible within dance music and nightlife - not only sonically but communally, politically and beyond.
