This Sunday March 22 at 4pm, we return to our beloved daytime selves with our one and only Sunday Atrium party this spring to celebrate 7 years of Public Records and our time here as residents. There are too many people to mention whom we are grateful for along the way but suffice it to say, we are most grateful for being alive and privileged enough to share the music we love. In celebration of 7 years, we have invited back friend, mentor and general provocateur, Terre Thaemlitz, known to households across the land as Dj Sprinkles. We’d also like to take this space to announce that a re-issue of our collaboration with Terre, Companion, is set for release this summer (watch this space)!
So as always, come early for the deep jams, stay late for Terre’s incantations, love one another and keep house a feeling.
Love,
Frank and Tony

Hi friends. Its us again. We’re now in a new year and back in our beloved Sound Room booth to launch our 2026 House4Life Residency, this time with an open, then closing set. In celebration, we’ve invited our Scissor and Thread label mate and general luminary, Snad to perform live in between our sets. In the Atrium, best buds, Simone Du Kunovich + Pancratio do what only they can do with a b2b all night long set, while local hero and dub royalty, Queen Majesty fills the room with a fuzzy low end love UPSTAIRS. So as the cold sets in, warm your heart up, come early, stay late, let love rule the day and Keep House a Feeling.
Love,
f&t

Hi friends. This Saturday , we’re finally here, at the final date of our 2025 Residency at Public Records. Its been one of the most inspiring years of our now 14+ year exploration of all that is deep. So what better way to end the year than to invite some of favorites, friends and community members for one last hurrah. Opening things up in the Sound Room, prolific digger, dj and overall mensch For Future’s Sake sets the tone for our set while our Detroit hero Rick Wade closes things out. In the atrium, one of our current faves and future PR resident, AIDA takes the reigns and is joined by Sunset Sound System founder Galen who will surely take the room to new heights and last but certainly not least, Upstairs, A1 boss Jeremie Delon will bring the infinite crate of jams for an all night affair.
So as always, come early for the deep jams, stay later for the deepest, love one another, and keep house feeling.
Love,
F&T
Standard Time welcomes back Frank & Tony alongside Vladislove & International Habibi!
Brooklyn-based duo Francis Harris and Anthony Collins released several records of dreamy deep house under the name Frank & Tony.
The duo co-founded the Scissor & Thread label in 2011 and they began releasing a series of Frank & Tony EPs in 2012. Several of the duo’s early songs were collaborations with indie dance duo Bob Moses, who would eventually sign to Domino after releasing two EPs on Scissor & Thread.
Frank & Tony’s EPs gained praise from influential electronic music publications, building up an- ticipation for their debut full-length. This came in the form of 2014’s You Go Girl, which was praised as one of the best underground house albums of the year, with the sweet, calmly bliss- ful “Bring the Sun” receiving the most attention. DJ Koze included an edit of the track on his 2015 DJ-Kicks mix CD, and the duo continued releasing 12”s.
Fast forward to 2022 the duo reunited with the EP Dream Vibration marking the 50th release on Scissor & Thread.
Vladislove and International Habibi bring the sounds of Toronto’s underground. Specialized agents in deeper dubs and intricate percussion, they craft an immersive sonic experience upon the dancefloor.
Tickets available while they last - link in Standard Time’s bio.
See you on October 17th - 10pm doors.

“TANGIBLE DREAMS” (LAWRENCE REMIX) | ALEX ALBRECHT & GRANT | 🇦🇺🇺🇸🇩🇪 | PHELT PHINDS 057 | MUSIC
I don’t believe in sanctuaries above the clouds, but my first thought hearing this track was ‘match made in heaven’—and I never saw it coming.
The ‘Tangible Dreams’ (Lawrence Remix) plays like a three-way tie for gold medal. Born from the minds of Australia’s Alex Albrecht and Biarritz-based American Grant, it was Germany’s Lawrence who felt compelled to push it into new territory. Hearing it for the first time, Lawrence shares, felt nothing short of magic.
“You know, when you find yourself in a moment, listening to a single track and get lost in it, it creates something so special, and that’s where the beauty of things lies.”
Minimal and percussive, the track drifts along superbly, a seven-minute whisper. Lawrence honours the original, slipping in just a handful of notes that subtly shift the atmosphere. The pace slows to a steady trot, with smoky jazz-club snares, waterlogged piano and ray guns spiralling into the ether. Listening deeply, I can almost see the notes rising like sparks from a campfire into the night sky. A few delicate sounds also linger in the mix, lending the edit a conversational texture – a chime here, an echo there. Picture standing outside a busy restaurant, hearing the hum of conversation through the glass.
For Lawrence, remixing is like a change of scenery, an open-ended journey where the music serves as the conductor, and he simply follows and processes the sound. What a masterpiece his inner orchestra has delivered. Albrecht put it to me perfectly. “Lawrence’s remix takes that hazy liminal mood and stretches it into something even more hypnotic…it feels familiar and completely reimagined all at once.”

Comment ‘JUNOPICKS’ to listen!
While Cabinet Records' releases rarely disappoint, the imprint's periodic multi-artist outings tend to be particularly special. That's certainly the case with the fifth instalment in their ongoing Goodies series, which lands almost six years after the first. Berlin scene stalwart Daniel Paul kicks things off with a killer edit of Nail's 1997 East Midlands deep house looper 'Our Love', foregrounding the fill-laden rhythm track, bumpy bassline and restless piano stabs, before Brawther delivers an ultra-deep and hypnotic dub of Grant & Finnoh's 'Sensational'. Turn to the flip for the stabbing acid bass, spacey synths, early morning dynamics and drum machine rhythms of Varhat's 'Quatre (Part 1)', and the lightly garage-house influenced deep house gorgeousness of 'I Think We Will Make History' by Funksonik.

“Enigmatic recording artist GRANT, a longtime staple of the deep house and techno underground, has collaborated with Alex Albrecht, to share the title track ‘Tangible Dreams’ out August 8th from their incoming EP out on August 29th.
The duo become connected with one another through their mutual ties to the esteemed Scissor & Thread label and close friend Francis Harris, and through the relations established a working connection that allows for a creative fusion. The upcoming EP is a deep and textured homage to the late ‘90s dub techno scene, echoing the atmospheric works of labels like Basic Channel and Chain Reaction, while maintaining a distinctly modern flair. Throughout the project, the duo aimed to create timeless tracks that are understated, groove-focused, and rich in sonic depth.
Talking on the release and the collaboration, GRANT explains: “I’ve been a fan of Alex’s work for some time, ” Grant says. “When we met through Francis and the Scissor & Thread connection, it felt natural to collaborate. This EP is the kind of music I love to play, tracks that aren’t flashy or trendy, but that hold up and grow on you over time.”
