Incredibly happy to announce I’ll be an Associate Artist at @wigmore_hall in its 125th year and for the next five seasons. So lucky to call this place a home away from home, for both me and @lcmf__ to enjoy without compromise. My next concert there is on Friday 10th April with @bcmg_photos , featuring the UK première of Sciarrino’s ‘Aspern Suite’ alongside music by Gesualdo, Rebecca Saunders and myself. Tickets available in my bio. Tonight we perform in Birmingham, with the amazing @eleonore.sian and @darragh_morgan_violin . In December London Contemporary Music Festical returns with @apartment.house performing Morton Feldman’s six-hour String Quartet no.2. In January I’ll have a new piece premièred with @explore_ensemble — pictured here — as part of their Feldman celebrations. Thank you Wigmore Hall 🙏🏻

My new album — ‘Press’ — is out today via @thetrilogytapes (TTTCD002). Written for and played here by the inimitable @apartment.house , commissioned by @wigmore_hall . Written for string quartet, piano, and rubbed out field recordings, ‘Press’ is sort of like a Big Sister piece to ‘Solo for Cello’, my first album with TTT and a real turning point in my work. ‘The Vestige’ — a new album with Giuseppe Ielasi @senufoeditions — is out today via Black Truffle. Making this album was one of the most enjoyable and rewarding musical experiences I’ve had. Giuseppe has long been a huge inspiration for my music and always felt like a kindred spirit somehow. After a good year and a half of sporadically emailing stems, sketches, and ideas, we put together these 14 tracks at his studio in January in just under five days and it feels like the music I’ve always been trying to make. Conducting two concerts of some of my favourite songs ever with @manchestercamerata and @eleonore.sian this week, including a FREE lunchtime concert for my friends in/around Manchester at the University on Thursday wow. We head to London’s @wigmore_hall on Saturday. Ravel, Stravinsky, Delage, @isabellagellis world première, and a UK première of mine. The trio of early 20th century works are criminally underperformed absolute gems of musical history. Please don’t miss a chance to hear them in the flesh. After Thursday’s concert I’ll be discussing my work at the University of Manchester’s research forum series, let me know if you’re interested in sneaking into that.

Really looking forward to making my debut with @ulsterorchestra this week, in a programme of Wagner, Satie and Stravinsky. This will be the first outing of my orchestrations of Satie’s Préludes to ‘Le Fils des étoiles’, alongside Wagner’s ‘Prelude and Liebstod’ from ‘Tristan und Isolde’ and Stravinsky’s Divertimento from ‘Fairy’s Kiss’. Feeling very very lucky to be working with all this incredible music. Most importantly! You can listen to the concert live on BBC Radio 3 this Thursday at 14.30, and then for a month on BBC Sounds.
