quite literally no time for sentiment so here are the facts: - I co-produced this 3-day music festival with @citacsy it is an ode to exclusively live experimental electronic music that we are lucky to have thriving here in aotearoa - it is happening tomorrow until sunday - there will be many artists whose music frequently incites the full spectrum of emotion (in me and reportedly others) - live and commissioned A/V work will accompany the performances - there will be installations, an artist talk, a modular synth work shop, an intro to video-art making instruments, a DIY electronic instrument exhibition - this feels scarily ambitious in the context of the current gig/festival landscape in tāmaki ,! regardless of whether we pull this off, i’m confident in the kaupapa of the event and that the love n energy that has been poured into it will materialise into something magical, as it has in previous iterations <3 - look forward 2 seeing u this weekend if u ain’t ▢ :P (for more coherent info pls refer to @outlier.festival )

RA MIX 049: Sequentia X Diesel Sequentia (@hackhag ) is a musician and promoter based in Tāmaki Makaurau, drawing influence from the bass-heavy culture of their Ōtautahi roots and their earlier experimental / improvisational projects. Sequentia has shared stages with the likes of Mechatok, Tim Reaper, Moktar, Mike Q, Loefah and James K. They host a monthly radio show on 95bFM called ‘Soundbleed’, and in 2020 they founded @relatedarticles - which functions as a monthly broadcast, a club night and a record label. In 2019 they co-established the biennial 3-day experimental music event ‘Outlier Festival’, a multi-modal project platforming new electronic music from Aotearoa’s experimental and exploratory practitioners. Diesel (@d.i.esel ) is a DJ Artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau and one of the co-creators of @nympho.world , an underground queer club night dedicated to the liberation of body and sound.
