With each edition taught by a different one of Rough Trade's world-class authors, participants will be introduced to techniques and methodologies to help shape new works of fiction, non-fiction and the hybrid forms that exist between the two, before a masterclass in re-drafting and editing and, finally, a round-table discussion on the nuts and bolts of small-press independent publishing in the current climate - giving students an idea of routes to publication, how to approach agents, expectations of editors and much, much else besides. Prepare to have your formal expectations challenged and your creative buttons pushed...

EVP is back at CAMP for 2026! Join @cmvonhausswolff and Michael Esposito (@spectralelectric ) for five days of landscape exploration, archeoacoustics, deep historical audio-investigation and ghost-hunting!
It's not about proving or disproving ghosts - that's almost a moot point - it's about the process, and the experience. It's about deep listening, of working with fragile traces of sound, of finding substance and meaning in the almost-nothing.
By the end of the week, we'll bring everything together in a final presentation, sharing compositions built from the material gathered along the way. After the workshop, Micki and Michael will curate works for broadcast on CAMP Radio and release on CAMP Editions.

"Empty Middle Seat" takes absence as a starting point for thinking about how culture produces meaning through what is missing, displaced or simulated. Across music, visual art, internet culture and emerging technologies, many contemporary forms seem to emerge precisely from these gaps: fragments of memory, degraded recordings, synthetic voices, algorithmic images or incomplete histories.
Extremely limited places, no cost to reserve, grab a place now - this one will sell out quick!

Announcing a brand new onsite workshop for 2026: Field Recording: Listening, Intention and Place with Kate Carr, Simon Scott and Chris Watson
Rather than treating the microphone as a transparent observer, this workshop considers field recording as an active gesture. Through a range of exercises and experiments we will explore recording as performance, recording as collaboration with environments, and recording as a generative artistic practice. Using protocols, scores and structured listening approaches, participants will develop ways of working that respond to the specific conditions of the forests, valleys and mountain landscapes around CAMP.

Led by musician/artist/curator Russell Haswell , "Intensity Mapping" is a four-session workshop exploring intensity in contemporary music, inspired by the radical and extreme approaches of a variety of artists. The workshop balances listening, genre breeching, extended techniques, machine misuse and critical discussion. The objective: by the end of the workshop, you'll be able to identify and articulate different forms of musical intensity beyond simple loudness, understand the historical and artistic contexts of extreme music and noise art, experiment with composition and improvisation techniques to generate intense sonic experiences, and critically engage with challenging musical works and discuss their aesthetic and cultural significance.
