LABOUR // A Fashion Film for @aeolus_studio When I approached @aeolus_studio to do a fashion film, I was interested in ideas of physical and mental labour of craftsmanship and design. So much of Julio's designs are about intersections, so we also mixed formats from 16mm at the workshop via @simonapranulyte and @kodak_shootfilm with crisp Alexa footage via @thejosephlewiston . The idea was a clear separation of digital and analog worlds that invariably mix together, each amplifying and maximizing the other. It was a labour of love to push this over the line to say the least, and I'm so grateful to everybody, cast and crew in the credits (and more I may have accidentally left out). Drip drip drip. Eight Count Live Session // @yazleonn A 19-minute one-take live session in a sweaty boxing gym with no ventilation. This was the last of three useable takes - by the end, crew, cast, and cats were all exhausted. Literal blood sweat and tears.
