Last month Picloc flew across the pond to Austin to take part in @sxsw ✈️ Our film for ‘IRL’ by @lowswimmer screened in the Music Video Competition (presented by @vimeo ), alongside some absolute gems for huge artists like Kendrick Lamar, Doechii, Tyler the Creator and Hot Chip. Needless to say, we made some very lovely and very talented friends. Highlights included partying with Robert @rodriguez and @bootsriley in the set of Alita: Battle Angel, pitching on stage as part of the @seriesfest competition, and eating the world’s best brisket in the studio where they shot Sin City @brassknucklefilms . 😎 A massive THANK YOU to @britisharts for supporting our trip to Texas. We’re honoured to be representing British film abroad. 🙌

Ahead of our nomination for best Production Design at @timvfest we wanted to look back over the PD process of IRL by @lowswimmer 🧪🔬🧫📛 🇨🇦 The production design was inspired by the eerie beauty and imagery of sci-fi experimental labs. Humans, machines and emotions all tangle up together to bring this clone lab back to life! Big idea on a small budget can be challenging, but with the right crew and energy even the most ambitious worlds are possible. Massive congratulations to our stellar art team for their ‘Best Production Design’ nomination at Toronto International Music Video Festival - @timvfest 💥 This low-budget passion-project required a huge amount of creativity and resourcefulness from Mafer and her team.
