“Flowers I Found Back Home” (Part 1) I just wanted to draw more flowers that I miss and wish I could bring with me everywhere, so I made this paper fan 🪭 zine about those flowers and interesting facts about them 💐 (Initially this was supposed to be the first one to release before our wedding fans but our cricut back in Cainta gave up on us lol) San Francisco will always have a special place in my heart as this was the first city I fell in love with when I arrived in the US in 2010. Whenever I think of a golden light shining over flowers, I think of this place. I’m really happy I got to debut this zine here 🌞🌷💗 And because of that, I have one remaining zine that I reserved for the last day of @sfartbookfair ✨ wooo 🥳 thank you to @_badstudent @futurefellow @pautiu @kiko_tiu who stayed up late with me printing, (and fanning 🪭 us while we print fans and endure the heatwave in nyc hahaha) and thank you thank you to @rollerinkriso for being so game to let us produce this zine 🫶✨💗

Terrarium is a risograph animation flip book, a visual ode to the Artist’s first zine ‘Little Kingdoms’ in 2016. It is a metaphor of the Artist’s observation on how terrariums are able to sustain living organisms, synonymously close to a miniature of a greenhouse – where it provides shelter for plants to grow and flourish even in the harsh cold weather conditions. It is indicative of the Artist’s self preservation to protect and nurture what life is left behind and hoping it will propagate new beginnings ahead. 🌱🍀 Printed in risograph using 4 colors and hand sewn individually with a thin sheet of film back to back 🪡 🧵

We wanted to document this day because ever since we started making zines and art books— we have dreamt of a day where we’d see the books we made back home in Cainta to be in their shelves. As a small risograph art press in the Philippines with our mighty and moody 🍃 Hiraya Manawari 🍃 (the name of our riso machine 😆) this is something we’ve manifested over and over again from the day we built our studio and to each international art book fairs we’ve participated— that we’re going to reach their bookshelves someday ✨ We’re truly thankful for this opportunity @printedmatter_stmarks and most especially to @calipsopress (Eva!! ♥️) for discovering us in @multipleformats 🫶 Thank you for letting us dream and make more art books and zines ☺️ Our art books Tools and Terrarium will be available at their store with last few copies remaining 📚

Its been a few weeks since Multiple Formats Art Book Fair, and we’d love to say thank you to everyone who visited our table and showed support! Specially @christophersleboda and the whole team at @multipleformats for helping us out! It was so nice to see people who supported us for a long time and finally meet them in person ✨ Our hearts are full of love and gratitude because of this experience. "DIMENSIONS" is a collaborative project from Secret Riso Club, a Brooklyn based independent publisher, design studio, and printing workshop.
