Huge Thanks Yuko 🤍 I’m a fan of @esou.ceramics and now we get to swap works! This piece is so cool - the sci-fi chinoiserie vibes are everything and the Philippine eagle, Jollibee, and kalabaw details on the back are the best. Feels like a good luck charm for the new year 💫

A twin-tail freestyle hybrid built for footwork and creative freestyle — but don’t be fooled, it’s a total flip-trick machine. Fast pop, easy ride, pure fun. . . . #freestyleskateboarding #skateboardtherapy

Oktubre 2026 by Ev Yu @ev.yu 🕯️ A transitional period where weariness from the highs and lows of the previous months is felt, at the same time bracing oneself for the upcoming holidays. In an ideal world, October feels like the best time to take a break from the race. Optimistic that the weather might get cooler and typhoons hopefully end, staying home feels perfect. I wanted the drawing to feel soft and squishy - like a place where time allows anyone to be more lazy, more quiet. Prints available in three sizes on 🛒✨

Sarap Illustrator Spotlight: EVA YU Eva Yu is a Philippine-based visual artist. Her initial illustrations were developed through self-publishing zines with experimental narratives. Inspired by animated transitions, her choice of imagery is based on distorted comic panel layouts that eventually influenced her watercolor paintings. Through elusive yet familiar images, escapism is a constant presence in her work. As an illustrator for Sarap, Eva Yu shared with us her memorable moments while working on the book: “The illustration for ‘The Chinese Connection’ was an idea I had in mind for some time but I didn’t know where to put it. It was like a floating thought waiting for that chapter to come by.” More of her work at @ev.yu

“We invite our readers as well to join the voyage: we want readers who cook, who like to eat, who enjoy reading about cooking and eating, who are curious about the subtext beneath our food.” —Doreen G. Fernandez and Edilberto N. Alegre Sarap: Essays on Philippine Food by Doreen G. Fernandez and Edilberto N. Alegre was first published in 1988. Sarap is designed by Kristian Henson and Issy Po. Sarap is priced at PHP1699. Bundled with Palayok, it is PHP3000. In stores and on our website by mid-October. @pngianne @kittyjardenil @tamingservice @ev.yu @kristian_henson @issymakesart
