Future Arts is in our 5th year and growing programs across the city. We’re preparing to launch Future Arts Way during the 2025 World Cup, developing our FAIR Residencies, expanding youth initiatives, and finalizing our 3-year strategic plan.
This is a big moment for us, and we’re looking for community representatives who care about artists, technology, and equitable creative futures to help make sure we’re on the right track.
New members will begin their first term in January 2026, with nominations and voting at the end of December. Applications are open until December 22, 2025.
If you’re curious, excited, or simply feel a pull toward this work, we’d love to hear from you ❤️

How do we create a future as rich and vibrant as Seattle’s history? By working with the community to create this one-of-a-kind interactive experience that brings downtown to life with over 2.5 miles of 30+ artworks!
Future Arts Way: Other Earth 2026 is a mixed reality (XR) walking path experience built by local storytellers, artists, and technologists, grounded in Coast Salish histories, highlighting local businesses.
Tech and arts come together to create memories and untold stories of flora and fauna of our land(s).

We have been heads down brewing something special…..
What do you call it when local history and a vision for the future come to the present in a 2.5 mile walking path of interactive art? That’s Future Arts Way! A mixed experience featuring local business and 17+ artists and creatives, grounded in Coast Salish history, Afrofuturism, and many other stories…..creating our theme: OTHER EARTH 2026.
✨ So grateful to @kiro7seattle and @linzisheldon for connecting with us and checking out the Future Arts Way AR path. We’re just happy to give everyone a new lens (literally!) to see our city through the lens of what Seattle really has been built in: our communities and Coast Salish land. We are ready to shift history with tech forward community artworks as the world arrives for the World Cup 2026. 🌊🏙️
Thanks for being on set:

Your contribution directly funds vital tech-arts programming and community workshops in 2026, supporting our creative economy, ultimately closing the arts-tech wage gap in Seattle.
Give now, before the clock strikes midnight, through the LINK IN BIO!!
Over the past five years, this community has helped Future Arts grow from a crazy idea into something real and impactful.
Thanks to your support, we’re able to get artists paid, build programming, having public spaces activated and stories shared far beyond Seattle.
Going into 2026, with the World Cup coming to Seattle and Future Arts Way already in motion, we need to close a funding gap to keep the work going and take care of the people building it.
We’re raising $50K by 12/31 to match grants we received (Thank you @kc4culture , @weareagog and @artsfundseattle !) and start the new year strong.
Every donation goes directly into living-wage creative work, public storytelling, and programs that keep art and technology growing together, not apart.
If you’ve ever come to an event, shared a post, collaborated with us, or just believe creativity makes cities more human, this is a really meaningful way to show up.
