This piece is inspired by the power + beauty of the Bengal tiger 🐅, surrounded by bold, abstracted patterns and vibrant colors drawn from traditional Indian design. I had so much fun creating this — it was an exciting chance to explore a new style and work with the wonderful team. You never know where investing in your community can take you. I bring @nasecase out every season to paint the windows at Compass West Seattle. Because it adds life. Because it makes people smile. Because I love being part of this neighborhood. The @westseattlejunction is something special, and I’m proud to show up and contribute to it in my own way. What I didn’t expect? Those butterflies to turn into a client! Someone who was interested in buying a home walked by, loved the butterflies, and reached out. Now she owns a cute townhome a few blocks from the Morgan Junction, just down the way from the Alaska Junction. The True Butterfly Effect is popping up at the U-District Street Fair on May 16-17th!🦋 Stop by to paint your design on these butterflies and kick off your summer participating in Seattle’s largest outdoor arts & crafts event. The event features two amazing days of live music, 300+ vendors, delicious food, and of course, butterfly-painting with us. Find us by the stage, near the food court between 41st and 42nd streets. After the event, the butterflies will be part of butterfly garden installations around the city, including a current partnership with @base.camp.studios with @seattledcc as part of an initiative to revitalize Seattle’s downtown core @downtownseattle . He’s landed 🦚✨ This peacock just strutted into his new home at @mintandmartiniseattle in Capitol Hill. We’re still waiting on the overhead lights and a few final wall details, but he’s already holding court. Our February 22nd Art x Mental Health event was a beautiful reminder of the role of creative expression in our mental health and wellness. Alex Nason @nasecase shared about her journey with art and invited us to join in contributing to her community art project on "the true butterfly effect." And, she joined in conversation with Unity Collective therapists Nikka Dellosa and Devi Viswanathan to highlight ways we can access joy through art.
