Happy Mother’s Day from the Downtown Community Council. 🌷
Today we’re celebrating the moms, aunties, grandmas, caregivers, chosen family and community builders who help make downtown feel more connected, caring and alive.
Thank you for all the seen and unseen ways you show up for your families, neighbors and communities. 💐

This May, Seattle Downtown Art Walk is excited to welcome Birds Connect Seattle as a special pop-up location for the Winged Wonders Art Showcase.
Running May 5–May 31, Winged Wonders features work by more than 25 local amateur and professional artists inspired by birds. Each piece has a connection to conservation and the many ways we can help protect our feathered friends. The art is on display for the community to experience, enjoy and purchase throughout the month.
Basically: birds, art, conservation and local artists. A very good little ecosystem. 🌿
On Friday, May 22 at 5PM, Seattle Downtown Art Walk, along with @seattledcc and @birdsconnectsea , will host a casual “Happy” Hour so folks can check out the exhibit, linger a bit and gather before heading out on a self-guided Downtown Art Walk.
Maps will be available if needed, and snacks will be provided, because art walking is technically cardio.
🗓️ Seattle Downtown Art Walk
Friday, May 22
5PM–8PM
Free | Self-guided | All ages
Come for the art, stay for the birds and follow the map wherever your downtown compass points next.

Cookies, community and a casual start to the Downtown Art Walk? That sounds like a solid Friday to us. 🍪✨
Join the Seattle Downtown Community Council (DCC) and Downtown Art Walk at @midnightcookieco in Pacific Place Concourse on Friday, April 24 at 5:15pm-ish for a fun, low-pressure kickoff to the evening.
Buy a cookie, grab a drink, chat with some good people and see where the night goes. Roll with the group, branch off when something catches your eye, or just enjoy being out and about with zero weird networking energy.
Perfect for folks who are new to Seattle, new to downtown, or just in the mood to be a little social without making it a whole thing.
Click the QR code to let us know you’re coming.
If this is a hit, we’ll do it again at another local business on the Art Walk route, so give us a follow to see where we pop up next.
🎨 Stop by @artlovesalon + @publicdisplay.art during this month’s Downtown Art Walk and step into a space where art, music and movement all meet.
This month features Alignment Crew @alignmentcrew , co-founded by
pluto.life
@comicc_k@aarcha.k
and DJ energy rooted in hip-hop, krump, house, tutting and popping.
It’s also a chance to explore multiple gallery experiences in one stop. @artlovesalon continues its focus on contemporary figurative work centered on the human experience, while @publicdisplay.art presents rotating installations from local and visiting artists.
Add it to your route, bring a friend or two and spend some time with Seattle’s creative community in the heart of downtown.

March was wonderful. So much good art, new artists, fun pop ups and a chance to highlight Women’s History Month along the way. 🌷
Now we turn the page. New month, new artists, familiar favorites and a little more spring energy in the mix.
Downtown is blooming and the Art Walk is too.
And a little reminder: many of these locations are open beyond Art Walk night, so stop in, spend some time and support them whenever you can. If something catches your eye, take it home with you. Buying art and supporting small businesses helps keep this creative community going.
Join us again on Thursday, April 24th. 🎨✨

Happy National Burrito Day from Seattle Downtown Community Council 🌯
Community happens in big ways and small ones. At events, in conversations, while supporting local businesses and sometimes while standing around downtown holding a burrito and catching up with someone.
Which honestly feels very Seattle.
National Burrito Day seems like a pretty good excuse to show some love to a downtown spot, try somewhere new or defend your favorite burrito order in the comments.
So go support local, grab something good and let’s hear your downtown favorites.
