Designing Buggy
This was a collaboration with the prosthetics designer
@dreamsmith_ and his team
@ashley_alexander_powell @matt_ht and
@tashtoit
Our job was to get the hair color and texture right.
We collaborated with
@jjward12 to create Buggy.
His ideas really rounded off the whole look and helped to make Buggy fit Jeff so perfectly
@erminekirstein spent hours and days laboring over coloring the hair to getting it to the right tones and hues
While
@veraalimanova81 @odetterebok @tracy_busch01 and TesnaBusch spent laborious hours knotting not one but three wigs for Buggys character.
When it came to Buggy’s nose.
Jaco and his team perfected the sculpt of the nose, while giving it a more human skin texture and blending it flawlessly into Jeff’s nose and skin, so that we could nail our brief!
The nose has to belong to him. He has grown this nose !
Not only did the prosthetics department nail the nose. But they had to make a head for Buggy.
As well as limbs to help sell the gag of the chop chop fruit
The products we used to paint Buggy to life were the
@alliedfxco transparent, slideshow, brights,character, essential and translucent toners to blend this nose into his skin tone
We used the brights and triage for the smile
We also used
@maccosmetics blacktrack as well as wavelength liner to detail the eyes
The individual lashes under the eye were a blast to apply
The nose application was initially done by
@tashtoit and
@ashley_alexander_powell @tashtoit took excellent care of him on set
Eventually things were too wild. As it goes when you are double banking and I took over on Buggy’s full make up and stood by on him on set
