đĽ Happy Friday! Let's celebrate with some bubbles (and condensation)
First using the spots texture with a geometry node, the condensation can extrude off the surface and generate a realistic effect. We also cover particular issues and how to overcome them.
Then we cover the bubbles geometry within KeyShot and how we can easily create realistic bubbles within a liquid geometry. Further issues and realism areas are also covered so you can create something with accuracy.
These are big game changer features for your renders, that take little memory away from your scene, but enhance the details without adding lots of time consuming work.

â¨đŹ If you want more artistic and eye-catching animations, these tips from our expert @ozan_kcmn might help!
1ď¸âŁ Start by making sure your 3D model has clean topology, preferably NURBS surfaces if possible. This helps you achieve smoother and cleaner displacement results.
2ď¸âŁ Inside the Material Graph, connect a Color Gradient Texture to the Displacement node to create animated ripple effects. Set the Gradient Type to Spherical and add a few white pins fading into black tones. Then simply animate the Shift parameter with an Animation node to create moving displacement waves.
3ď¸âŁ Once your setup is ready, you can copy the Animation, Color Gradient Texture, and Displacement nodes into the Material Graphs of your other materials. This keeps the effect synchronized across the entire product.
4ď¸âŁ For more experimental looks, try using black & white videos as Video Map textures. You can even combine them with a Color Gradient Texture using a Color Composite node for more unique results. At this point, itâs all about creativity and experimentation.
If you create animations like these, feel free to share your experience or workflow in the comments! đ

Our latest featured designer is a powerhouse!
@ayushsingh.id is an award-winning industrial designer, consumer electronics veteran, and one of the most thoughtful voices in the field. From wireless earphones to smartwatches, his designs have shipped at multi-million-unit scale with partners like Dolby, Bose, Marvel, and Netflix.
His advice for aspiring designers? Lead with empathy. Understand your constraints. And let your renders do the talking.
Some more excellent advice from Ayush:
"One of my key learnings has been that the design process needs to stay flexible. It should adapt to the type of project, the client, and the organization youâre working with. You canât stay rigid to a process just because thatâs how you were taught. More often than not, youâll face situations where you have to choose between how you usually do things and how they need to be done in that moment."

Every @keyshot3d render starts with composition. If the placement is wrong, no amount of lighting or materials will save the image.
Before diving into textures, I focus on blocking out the scene, treating the software as a camera and applying photography rules like the golden ratio or leading lines to guide the eye. This stage is where you define the spatial personality and cinematic feel of the product through focal length and depth of field.
Save it for reference. How do you approach composition in your own workflow?

đ¨ If you want to use dust and smoke effects effectively in your renders, this tutorial from @ozan_kcmn might be exactly what youâre looking for!
First, add a large cube to your scene. This will define the volume where your atmospheric fog or dust will exist, so make sure it fully covers the area you want to affect.
Next, apply a Scattering Medium material to the cube. From here, youâll want to experiment with parameters like transparency distance, density, and color until you achieve the look youâre going for.
Donât hesitate to tweak these settings, this part is all about trial and error.
For lighting, I highly recommend using strong, focused light sources like spotlights. They help reveal the volume and make the effect much more visible and dramatic.
To enhance realism, you can add a noise texture to the materialâs density channel. Keep the scale relatively large and the effect subtle, you want variation, but not something that feels distracting or artificial.
If you need more specific or complex smoke effects, you can always import VDB simulations created in software like Blender and use them as density textures. Just make sure the scale, positioning, and transparency settings are properly adjusted.
â ď¸ One last thing to keep in mind: scenes like this can be quite heavy to render. If possible, use GPU mode and be prepared for longer render times.
See you in the next tutorial, and feel free to share your results. Weâd love to see what you create!

In this step by step guide, @ozan_kcmn shows you how to present your product variations in a more artistic and effective way using animation.
1ď¸âŁ Start by using the Make Pattern feature to duplicate your model in any direction and quantity you need. You can experiment with both nested and stacked arrangements to create visually interesting compositions.
2ď¸âŁ Next, add a sphere inside KeyShot and use it as a pivot point. Place it at the center where you want your products to rotate, then select it as the pivot for your rotation animations. Once set, you can simply hide the sphere from the Scene panel.
3ď¸âŁ For the final touch, arrange your products vertically and use a top-down camera with a high focal length. This creates a clean layering effect where the top product naturally hides the ones below. If you prefer a different angle, you can overlap the models instead. In that case, consider using fast rotation, hide object animations, or shadows to keep intersections visually pleasing.
Feel free to share your own tips and experiences with similar animations in the comments đŹâ¨ďż˝See you in the next guide!

A shelf that evolves with you. Ripple Shelf by designer Ermin Alic merges sculptural expression with adaptable function, turning everyday storage into a dynamic experience. Its signature ripple-shaped vertical supports are more than a visual statementâthey form an integrated mechanism that allows each shelf to be repositioned effortlessly, without added hardware.
Brought to life using @keyshot3d , the visualization process focused on preserving the softness and continuity of the wave-like geometry while highlighting the material honesty of bent veneer. Careful attention was given to wood grain direction, aligning it with the curvature to enhance flow and realism, while subtle use of KeyShotâs bump and roughness settings helped achieve a natural wood finish. A minimal lighting setup allows shadows to emphasize the depth, rhythm, and sculptural clarity of the form without distraction.
The concept originated through hands-on experimentation with bending veneer into fluid shapes, quickly evolving into a fully realized system through 3D modeling.
Ripple Shelf explores a central question in contemporary design: how can flexibility exist without added complexity? By embedding function directly into form, the result is intuitive, expressive, and self-explanatory.

đĽ What does it take to design a hypercar in 7 weeks?
Ăngel Guerra FernĂĄndez @angelguerradesign , founder of The Fourth D, didn't just dream up the GP1 Hypercar â he built a workflow fast enough to bring it to life.
With a portfolio spanning SEAT, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, BMW, and a pivotal role in developing the Rimac Nevera, Ăngel knows what it takes to deliver at the highest level. But when he set out to design the GP1 for Garagisti & Co., a modern hypercar channeling the spirit of the McLaren F1 and Lamborghini Countach, speed and precision weren't just goals. They were the whole point.
đŞ Ăngel uses a process he calls Hyperflow: design â visualize â immerse â validate. KeyShot sits at the heart of it, enabling real-time rendering that turns every visual into a decision-making tool.
"The render becomes a diagnostic tool that guides your modeling decisions while saving you time and money," he says.
With KeyShot's real-time CMF exploration and VR output, Ăngel can walk around a 1:1 scale version of his design before a single physical prototype exists. That means fewer surprises, faster client approvals, and a final product that actually reflects the original vision.
Ăngel's advice to designers: Visibility matters as much as talent. Real-time workflows don't just accelerate design, they also help you show your work in ways that build credibility.
