I had some raw I colored angora that had been in my stock for years
Little did I know I had been holding onto it just to create Merry In collaboration with prosthetics who gave us a perfect duplicate of @painterist head shape thank you @matt_ht
They also gave us the horns and this became @odetterebok and @veraalimanova81 project
It was so exciting to see it came to life
And even more exciting to see it in a perfect duplicate for the stunt double
Jaco head of prosthetics also created a goat top lip for Brett. Designed by @dreamsmith_ . Sculpted by @ashley_alexander_powell and applied and brilliantly taken care of on set by @juanette_mup
It gave us such joy to see this character come to life

Buggy the Clowns prosthetic nose mold. This was an interesting challenge and my first experiment in making a collapsible core for a 3D printed prosthetic. The sculpt was quite big and casting it in solid silicone would have been too heavy. We didnt have access to foam latex at the time so i made a cold foam insert surrounded by an encapsulated silicone skin. This approach was definitely overcomplicated, but i used it as proof of concept. It's a relatively small mold, and it showed me that it's possible to 3D print something quite complex and still maintain a level of accuracy that creates a good prosthetic appliance.

It's been so great to see the positive reaction to the Netflix's One Piece! It was such a great experience for many reasons. Easilly the most talented crew I've had the privilege to work with and it marked a major turning point in my career, putting down the fibreglass and picking up the wacom stylus! This is a mold I made for Buggy the Clowns head, everything done in Zbrush and printed on a Form 3L.
The mold was then run using Ecoflex.

Here are some pics of the molds I made for the my Hellraiser tribute makeup, all done in my tiny home workshop over the pandemic. I used the opertunity to experiment with matrix molds instead of using the 2 part "squish" mold method. Every application has its place and this is definitely a longer and more complex process but I find casting and demolding to be more precise and the final product more predictable.

The Kelper 22b creature was the biggest mold we made for season 1 of @raisedwolvesmax and at 21 separate pieces it was definitely one of the more complex. Here he is, all covered in Axson gc1080 gelcoat. The creature started as a 3D model and was lathed out of rigid urethane and covered in a thin layer of clay for texture. This workflow allowed me to plan all the split lines on a small scale 3D printed version.
