“It’s a vicious game. But it doesn’t mean you have to be an asshole to play it,” #Survivor host #JeffProbst tells Variety.
Probst nearly walked away from “Survivor” after becoming disillusioned with the show’s early era of negativity. But after taking over as showrunner in 2010, he says he made it his mission to reshape the franchise, moving away from outright villains and steering the series toward more optimistic storytelling.
That creative shift is at the center of the landmark 50th season, which experiments with celebrity collaborations from #JimmyFallon, #BillieEilish, #MrBeast and Zac Brown, whose heavily featured cameo sparked major backlash online. But Probst says reports that producers re-edited episodes in response are “absolutely, unequivocally false.” “We’ve changed nothing,” he says.
The new season also marks the return of Mike White, who came back to “Survivor” less than two months after “The White Lotus” Season 3 finale aired, hoping the island would offer an escape from his newfound fame. “I wanted to get away,” White says. Instead, the creator found himself at the center of one of the season’s biggest betrayals after his real-life friend Christian Hubicki blindsided him in the game.
As “Survivor” celebrates 50 seasons, Probst remains adamant that evolving the show and refusing to look backward is exactly what has kept it alive for more than two decades. Read the full cover story at the link in bio.

#JulianneMoore says #MerylStreep is the "golden standard" for women in Hollywood.
"She was the first woman I saw who appeared to be.. touchable and untouchable at the same time. There's something human and modern about her."

#JulianneMoore is not interested in acting in movies with guns or explosions given we're in "a time where things are rough globally."
"I don’t like easy stakes. I don’t like someone being murdered. I don’t like explosions and guns. I don’t like histrionics. I don’t like things that raise the stakes without real feeling underneath. I mean, that actually bothers me because that’s like noise. I don’t know how to play it. I don’t want to watch it."

#JordanFirstman’s directorial debut #ClubKid is the first breakout hit of #Cannes 2026, earning critical acclaim and a six-minute standing ovation in which Firstman rejoiced, kissed co-star Diego Calva and lifted up onscreen son Reggie Absolom to thunderous applause.
Firstman is largely known as a comedian and social personality who lives unapologetically — young, gay, ravenous for substances, sex and human connection. With “Club Kid,” he proved to the premiere audience that he’s got depth beyond a New York City dance dungeon.

Jordana Brewster wants her “Fast & Furious” character Mia to “drive her story” in the final movie after becoming “more passive.”
“Agency, that’s my biggest wish... In ‘Fast Five’, she is pregnant. She’s helping them figure out what’s next and jumping off buildings and leading the guys as they’re pulling a safe through the streets of Rio. It is literally being a part of the action and not just standing by.”
#JordanaBrewster misses filming "Fast and Furious" practical action scenes with Paul Walker.
"I could rely on him. He loved driving. He was obsessed with cars. He knew how to make things look really cool. It was fun to shoot it more practically. You don't have to make up the adrenaline. There is something inorganic about being in front of a green screen.. like. Like, the mountain is this way! It's kind of cheating. There is a level of precision [when it's practical]. It's also fun with the crew because they're leaning out of the car with you."
