I moved to Canada🇨🇦 18 years ago… But I grew up in beautiful Venezuela 🇻🇪 where I learnt to swim in salty oceans and latin rhythms moved my body free Political turmoil forced us to flee a country we loved but couldn’t see a future in.. With shaking limbs and optimism we boarded a plane to the unknown. Aruba became our safety, far enough to start over, close enough that on clear days you could glance a cross the ocean and mountain tops of my hometown were visible My parents had in mind a better life. Risk, sacrifice and distance from all we knew… onwards we went Fort McMurday, Alberta welcomed us one cold January 3rd 2007. I had never seen snow or felt the wind chill on my body The sun shined differently and neon colors danced in the sky at nightfall… I knew my life would be changed forever Oh Canada… you have been the refuge I craved, your land offered opportunity and plenty of space to dream, your people were solace to a wanderer in search of purpose. I found myself here after trial and error and what ultimately led me to my art… My fullest expression of self I miss Venezuela everyday, but I am forever grateful the color of my skin will always remind me of my roots My spirit saturated with my peoples resilience My Mother tongue unique, now mixed My smile screaming for joy My eyes a deep well of pain and battle with a story to tell Not a day goes by I forget where I come from. So this is for all immigrants, Latinos and hispanics the same For little me See yourself here amongst the glamour and glitz… If you look closely I’m still that young ferocious girl with passion to spare, hope for what’s ahead and a commitment to be seen. I matter. You matter. Our stories deserve the spotlight, and I am simply a vessel and a mirror to YOUR wildest dreams coming true 💭🙏🏽🤍 Venezuela te amo, por siempre rezando por tu libertad y poder regresar a tu lado…Gracias a mi comunidad por el apoyo y el amor, esto es por ti🇻🇪

This was one of the funnest weeks on set… doing a live performance of a made up (but amazing and should be real) high school musical for a fake audience for a Netflix tv show, truly living out my theatre kid dream 🤣 Hope you enjoy Victor, he ain’t perfect but he tries - MOUSSEEEEE🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼 @gngbts

I am 34 today. my heart is so full. celebrating life is so beautiful, it is the biggest gift💛💙❤️ This year i wanted to get back to my roots🇻🇪 how i used to celebrate as a kid growing up in Venezuela… Piñata, hora loca, pasapalos, música!
