NEW EXHIBITION READY MADE + 香川県高松市で、庵治石を素材に職人とともにプロダクトを開発するAJI PROJECTは、南青山の〈Information〉にて新たな試み「READY MADE+」を開催します。 / AJI PROJECT, a brand based in Takamatsu, Kagawa, that develops products using Aji stone in collaboration with local artisans, will present its new initiative “READY MADE+” at Information in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo. This exhibition builds upon the READY MADE collection, which reinterprets uniquely shaped stone offcuts from the production process as individual sculptures. Inspired by the accidental forms and weight of these offcuts, the designers have added intentional lines to them, reconstructing each piece into a new collection. For this project, AJI PROJECT collaborated with Aki Kanai and Taku Sasaki from KOKUYO YOHAK DESIGN STUDIO. The combination of their lighthearted, playful approach to graphics and product design with the weighty and austere character of stone has resulted in a truly distinctive collection. We invite you to visit the exhibition and experience the meeting of the designers’ ideas and the craftsmanship that brought them to life. All exhibited works are one-of-a-kind pieces and are available for purchase during the exhibition period. / AJI PROJECT EXHIBITION READY MADE + 2025年11月22日(土) - 11月30日(日) November 22 (Sat) ‒ November 30 (Sun), 2025 12:00 ‒ 19:00 Information @information.jp 107-0062 東京都港区南青山4-24-10 ボックスエイト 2F Box-8 A, 4-24-10 Minami Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan 107-0062 Designer: KANAISASAKI 金井あき AKI KANAI @akikanai_ffd700ffd700 佐々木 拓 TAKU SASAKI @takusasaki Creative Advisor: ダヴィッド・グレットリ DAVID GLAETTLI @davidglaettli Creative Director: イトウ ケンジ KENJI ITO @itokenji1 Photographer: 香川賢志 KENJI KAGAWA @kenjikagawa Organizer: 株式会社蒼島 AOISHIMA Inc. @aoishima.jp #ajiproject #readymade #readymadeplus #kanaisasaki #akikanai #takusasaki #ajistone #ajigranite #stone

David Glaettli has been involved with KNS since its founding and later guided the brand as Creative Director. Here, we look back on his interview. — How would you describe the distinct identity of Karimoku New Standard? The brand’s identity is strongly characterised by the designers and their particular designs and of course by the unique situation of a traditional Japanese manufacturer collaborating with young international designers. The identity lies in between these keywords: innovative/sustainable, contemporary/long-lasting, joyful/functional, creative talent/traditional craftsmanship, east/west. It is defined by the strive to create a “new standard” in Japanese furniture making and in looking for a “new standard” for conscious living in the 21st century. In the full interview, you can read about the brand’s early development and its collaborations with designers. For details, please visit the Interviews page on our official website.

At the Swiss Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, the HUG Chair—a collaboration between ECAL (École cantonale d'art de Lausanne), Switzerland’s leading design university, and KNS—is on display. This chair embodies a fusion of Japanese craftsmanship and emerging Swiss talent, combining geometric elegance with a warm, embracing form.

Milan Design Week 2025 has come to a successful close. We hope that through the video installation by Shinji Otani and Taisuke Koyama, visitors were able to feel the shared passion for wood that lies at the heart of both KNS and MAS. The experience of removing one's shoes and relaxing on tatami flooring also offered a moment to reflect on how our furniture is deeply rooted in Japanese customs and culture. For us as well, this exhibition was a valuable opportunity for new insights and learning. KNS and MAS will continue striving to enrich everyday life through wooden furniture. Thank you very much to everyone who visited our exhibition.
