OMORI FUJ #1 (Door stopper) Shigeki Fujishiro @shigekifujishiro 穴の開いた円柱の石にロープを通しただけの非常に簡素なドアストッパーです。 庵治石はとても日本的な印象を持たれることが多いですが、このドアストッパーは、カラーロープを合わせることで、モダンな雰囲気を引き出し、和洋問わず、様々な空間に馴染むと考えています。 This is a very humble door stopper consisting onlyof a cylindrical stone with holes through which arope is threaded. OMORI MAL #2 (Fruit bowl) Philippe Malouin @philippemalouin このフルーツボウルは、AJI PROJECTの工場を訪れた後に生まれました。フルーツボウルの形状は、石材加工の基本である「切断」と「穴あけ」を組み合わせて作られています。まず、一つの石の塊に穴を開けて円形の芯を取り出し、それを二つに切断し、最後にスリットを均等に入れました。これにより、通気がよくなり、果物の鮮度が保たれるようになっています。 The fruit bowl was created after visiting Aji Project’s workshop. The shape of the fruit bowl was created by combining 2 essential stone working transformations: cutting and boring. A single block of stone is first bored, to reveal a circular core, it is then cut in two, and finally, vertical slices are tessellated along its length to ensure the fruit it holds are surrounded by air, so the fruit stays fresh. #ajiproject #omori #philippemalouin #fruitbowl #aoishima #ajiishi #ajistone #stone

OMORI LEE #1 (Hook) Kwangho Lee @_kwangho_lee この作品はフックの機能を持ちながら、使用されていないときには石の重さや形、バランスを美しく表現しています。 石の特性や素材感を示しながらも、加工によって生み出された小さな円柱は固定されておらず、その動きが庵治石の重さではなく、むしろ軽やかさを感じさせます。 This piece embodies the function of a hook, but when it is not in use, it beautifully captures the weight, form, and balance of the stone. When adding text or patterns to stone, we don’t print on the surface. Instead, we carve directly into the stone and then apply color. This method is used not only for these new samples, but also for all graphics and logos found on AJI PROJECT products. The incredibly precise finish—so refined it can look like printing at first glance—is only possible thanks to the skill of highly experienced stone engraving artisans. We hope you’ll take the opportunity to see the real pieces in person and experience the unique texture and expression of the carving. At Aoishima Inc., the company behind AJI PROJECT, we not only develop our own original products, but also produce custom-made works commissioned by many companies and creators. 2025年12月31日。 今年も一年、本当にありがとうございました。 2025年は、自主開催の展示会をはじめ、百貨店の催事やデザインイベントなど、実際に製品を手に取っていただける機会が、例年以上に多い一年となりました。こうした場をつくってくださった皆さま、ご協力いただいた関係者の皆さま、そして会場へ足を運んでくださった皆さまに、心より感謝いたします。 新たな取り組みとなった「READY MADE +」では、YOHAKU DESIGN STUDIOの金井あきさん、佐々木拓さんによるグラフィックを主軸とした作品を展示しました。これまで接点のなかった分野の方々にも多くお越しいただき、AJI PROJECTの活動をより広く知っていただけたことを、とても嬉しく思っています。 2026年も、より多くの方にAJI PROJECT、そして庵治石の魅力に触れていただけるよう、「STANDARD」「OMORI」「READY MADE」を中心に活動していきます。 来年もどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。 みなさま、よいお年を。 / December 31, 2025. In 2025, we had more opportunities than ever to present our products in person—through self-organized exhibitions, department store events, and design fairs. With our new project READY MADE +, we presented works centered on graphic expression by Aki Kanai and Taku Sasaki of YOHAKU DESIGN STUDIO. This project brought many visitors from fields we had not previously connected with, allowing us to share the activities of AJI PROJECT with a wider audience.
