She Means Business now also runs as a weekly column in @businessdayng . Every Friday in print and online. We launched the ecosystem with BusinessDay in March. This is the next step. The column is business intelligence for and about the women actually shaping economies across Africa. The frameworks behind building serious companies. The structural moves behind raising capital. How women move markets, lead the rooms they walk into, and build structures that capital can actually read. If you’re building, leading inside a company, putting capital into this market, or coming up watching women do all three, this is one for your Friday read. Two columns are already out. Plenty more are coming. 🙏 @shemeansbusinessbybd #shemeansbusiness #businessday

It was an absolute honor to serve as a judge at @fcmb.sheventures pitch competition. What I kept noticing was that even with the most brilliant ideas and businesses already in motion, many of the women in that room still underestimated their value. And trust me, I’ve been there myself many times. My advice to them that day was the same thing I’ve been telling myself since. Ask for what you deserve, believe in your product, your service, your vision, and own every bit of it when you get in the room. I’m genuinely inspired by what @myfcmb is building to support women entrepreneurs. The ones who will truly scale are those who understand their worth and price it accordingly. That’s a conversation I want to keep having again and again. Congratulations to all of the winners! #WomenEntrepreneurs #FemaleFounders #BusinessLeadership #SheMeansBusiness #WomenInBusiness

There are women whose very existence raises the standard for the rest of us. Mrs. Tara Fela-Durotoye is one of them. Long before I understood what it meant to build something from nothing, she was already doing it. With grace. With precision. With the kind of courage that walks into every room and shifts it. Presenting the maiden edition of She Means Business to her is a moment I will carry. Some people are woven into your beginnings. She is one of mine. Thank you @taradurotoye , for being the kind of woman who makes other women believe they can build something that outlasts them. It was the highest honour. @shemeansbusinessbybd | @businessdayng @buildingbeyondyou @houseoftara_intl #shemeansbusiness #businessintelligence #tarafeladurotoye #businessday #buildingbeyondyou

BusinessDay Media Limited has partnered with Fernhill Digital to launch ‘She Means Business’, a new business intelligence platform designed to support and amplify the influence of women shaping Africa’s economy. The platform will debut with a monthly magazine distributed as an insert in the BusinessDay newspaper, with the inaugural edition scheduled for release on March 27, 2026. She Means Business aims to fill a longstanding gap in the African media and business landscape by creating a dedicated intelligence ecosystem focused on women leaders across sectors such as finance, entrepreneurship, technology, infrastructure, and public policy. The initiative will combine editorial storytelling with strategic insights, offering frameworks, data-driven analysis, and practical lessons drawn from the experiences of women leading companies, managing investments, and influencing policy decisions across the continent. Frank Aigbogun, publisher and chief executive officer of BusinessDay, said the initiative aligns with the publication’s mission to deepen economic conversations and highlight the role of women in Nigeria’s development story. Everyone wants to talk about balance. Rarely do people talk about what it actually requires. Honestly? I’m not that great at it. Well, not in the traditional sense. Balance for me is seasonal. Some seasons demand everything. Some seasons are for pulling back. The real skill is in knowing which season you’re in and making peace with what it asks of you without fighting it. At the Women in Business Summit, West Africa 2026 hosted by Zoho Africa, this came up in a way that felt real. Most women aren’t living tidy, compartmentalised lives. We’re building, leading, nurturing, and growing all at once. And a lot of us are completely exhausted. Tiredness isn’t always a sign that something is horribly wrong, because truly some seasons are supposed to cost you. And even when you can’t give everything your all, I’ve discovered that you can’t kill yourself over it, everyone will be just fine. Thank you @zohoafrica for creating a safe space for us to share openly and freely. That’s what I love most about women. The honesty is never far from the surface. #zohoafrica #womensmonth #womeninbusiness
