I had the pleasure of hosting students of the Executive MBA course and faculty from the Wharton University of Pennsylvania at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Arts, Lagos, Nigeria, alongside the General Manager of the Theatre @tola_akerele , the Board Chairman, and the Director General of the National Troupe @ganakaltum . As part of their visit, we took them on a tour of the National Theatre and shared insights into the transformation currently taking place within Nigeria’s cultural and creative landscape through @fmactce_nigeria . We also had engaging conversations around the future of the industry, the policy direction shaping the sector, and the growing opportunities across culture, tourism, and the creative economy in Nigeria. These conversations reaffirm the importance of the work being done to position Nigeria as a serious cultural and creative powerhouse, not only within Africa but on the global stage, where our stories, talent, and creative enterprise continue to influence industries across the globe. #creativeeconomy #fmactce #nigeriaeverywhere #hannatumusawa

The Hon. Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Bar. Hannatu Musa Musawa, met with Dr. Jobson Oseodion Ewalefoh, Director-General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, to advance the Ministry's infrastructure agenda for the creative and tourism sectors. The Minister was accompanied by the Director-General of NCAC, Obi Asika, and ministry staff. The ICRC was represented by a cross-section of the Commission's team. Three areas were in focus: the infrastructure requirements of the creative and tourism sectors; the Ministry's project pipeline under the Creative and Tourism Infrastructure Corporation (CTICo); and the concession processes and procedures required to bring projects to financial close. Dr. Ewalefoh has established a dedicated task force to evaluate projects within the Ministry's pipeline — across the creative and tourism sectors — assess the appropriate strategy for each, and guide the path toward financial close. Infrastructure is not supplementary to the creative economy. It is foundational to it. #NigeriaCreativeEconomy #CTICo #ICRC #CreativeEconomy #TourismNigeria

Hope was not a launch event. It was the National Troupe of Nigeria, under Kaltume Gana’s leadership, doing what they have always done - performing with precision and purpose. That the stage they performed on is now open again is what matters.

From a studio in Kaduna to the walls of the Abu Dhabi Art Fair, Nigerian talent is taking center stage. Through our "Reimagining Hope" national residency, we are identifying hidden gems across the country and connecting them with the global art market. Their work has already captured the attention of global leaders and collectors, including the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the First Lady of Pakistan. Just as Afrobeats and Nollywood have conquered the world, our contemporary art is the next frontier for economic growth, career building, and international investment. We aren't stopping here. We are building a pipeline from the local studio to global platforms like Frieze and Venice 2028. The mission is clear: find talent in every state, train them, and put them in the room. #NigeriaEverywhere #ReimaginingHope #NigerianArt #CreativeEconomy #GlobalStage

An evening where art spoke beyond the canvas, telling powerful stories of resilience, identity, and inclusion. What stood out most was the artists themselves. Their work reminded me that ability is universal, and through art every voice finds expression. Creativity does not recognise limitation; it reveals strength, perspective, and possibility in its purest form. I commend the vision behind The Ability Life Initiative @tali_foundation and the leadership of @pradazizi and @styledbyoprah for creating a platform where art meets purpose and enterprise. At the Ministry, we will continue to support and collaborate on initiatives like this, ensuring that inclusion is not an afterthought but a foundation for how we grow our cultural and creative industries. #art #creativeeconomy #inclusion #nigeriaeverywhere

The CEDF update is here and it is worth reading in full. Nigeria's creative sector responded to the Fund in extraordinary numbers. Every application gave us a clearer picture of what this sector needs and that intelligence is now shaping exactly how the Fund is being configured. The CEDF provides debt and equity financing, governed by the private sector for long-term independence. The applications confirmed strong demand for these instruments. They also confirmed that grants are the largest single financing need across the sector. Solutions for grant support are actively being developed alongside the core Fund. Capital deployment begins Q3 2026. All applications are being retained. You will hear from us directly. Three programmes are open right now, swipe to see them. Some applicants will be contacted directly about eligibility. No action needed from you at this stage. We are in your corner. #CEDF #CreativeEconomy #NigerianCreatives #iDICE #CESOP

The return of a legacy… Rich in culture, energy, and opportunity. Over the weekend, I joined the people of Taraba State at the Nwonyo International Fishing Festival, a remarkable revival after 14 years under the leadership of @govagbukefas . This is a strong step toward economic diversification, in line with the vision of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. #economicexpansion #renewedhopeagenda #nigeriaeverywhere #hannatumusawa #culturalheritage

From 126 years of absence to a Top 10 global pavilion in 2024. Nigeria is stepping into Venice 2028 with sovereign intent, cultural confidence and a clear message: we will no longer be spoken for, we will speak for ourselves. The Venice Biennale is the Olympics of the art world, where nations project power, shape narratives and decide who matters in global culture. With Nigeria Everywhere, our artists, institutions and ideas take their rightful place at the table: defining African contemporary art, attracting investment into our creative economy, and rewriting how the world sees Nigeria. Nigeria 2028. Not a return. A declaration. #NigeriaEverywhere #VeniceBiennale2028 #CulturalSovereignty #CreativeEconomy #SoftPower

It was a great honour representing His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, at the 2026 National Nwonyo Fishing Festival in Ibi, Taraba State. From the thrilling fishing competition to the dazzling displays of dance, music and boat regattas, this festival is indeed a celebration of life itself. Harnessing Nigeria’s vast cultural assets and repositioning festivals like this as global tourism destinations will become economic engines that create jobs, empower youth, and showcase our nation’s rich heritage on the global stage. I wish to to thank His Excellency the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas @govagbukefas for being a gracious host and cultural ambassador, reviving this festival after 14 years which has stood as a powerful symbol of unity, resilience, and showcasing the rich traditions of the Ibi people. #festivals #hannatumusawa #destination2030nigeria #nigeriaeverywhere #heritage
