c. 2006, I drafted a library album of demo arrangements inspired by the built and cultural environment of South East London. Friday, the 23rd of August 2024, with the incredible support and talent of Seán Montgomery-Dietz, Deronne White, and Ashley Henry, we presented a work-in-progress open rehearsal of a few of these demos. Surreal to hear work that has only lived in thought and on old/lost hard drives. Those with art commissioning budgets, please shout—we’d love to do this again. ✶ Audio Visual Ensemble 01 ‘Don’t Block Light (Wandering Star)’ @seanmont • Synth @deronne_white • Flute @ashleyhenrymusic • Keys Myself • drums & modular synth / bass

Audio Visual Ensemble Working Memory — Program 1 Proof of Life: Notification 2 Originally framed as music for social media the ‘Proof of Life’ suite was my way of reasoning with the many conversations I have with myself whilst online and offline. From video essays, no context explainer posts to short clips like this one I saw months ago via @girlsaboutpeckham account, these saved videos from my IG feed allowed us to think out loud in real time. Audio Visual Ensemble (AVE) Daniel Oduntan — composition; conduction; guitar; modular synthesis; moving image Roxanne Tataei @roxannetataei — vocal artist; co-composer (selected works*) Ashley Henry @ashleyhenrymusic — keys Deronne White @deronne_white — flute Gaudiê Otero Martins @oterogau — guitar; notation Seán Montgomery-Dietz @seanmont — bass guitar; tech; co-sound design Michael @mikek6754 — drum synthesis Segun Akano @_segunakano._ — drums @frawl_backwards — sound tech support Note to self: charge your phone next time • demo edit

POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE Join us at 'Revisiting Club Mix', a night of remixing, collective practices, and radical creativity across visual art and sound system culture with Keith Piper, Gary Stewart and Daniel Oduntan! 🔊 In March 1999, Keith Piper took art out of the gallery and into the club. Club Mix toured venues across London, Birmingham and Nottingham — fusing moving image, music and live performance and invited new ways of thinking about how art circulates, is experienced, and is made collaboratively. Chaired by Daniel Oduntan, this event features a showcase of moving image materials used in the original Club Mix presentation and an in-conversation with Keith Piper and Gary Stewart, followed by a live sound session with Gary Stewart. ✨ Revisiting Club Mix ✨ 🗓️ Tuesday 21 April 2026 🕰️ 7pm - 10pm 📍Reference Point 2 Arundel Street, London, WC2R 3DA 🎟️ Tickets are free! Book yours now via the link in bio 🔗 This event is part of the Visualising Contemporary Art Histories project, supported by the BFI Screen Heritage Fund, awarding funds from the National Lottery. @keithpiper_studio @garyroystewart @danieloduntan @britishfilminstitute

Last Saturday felt very much like an Open Rehearsal / R&D — last min shop runs to find discontinued equipment, emergency all nighters, notation changes, on the fly engineering via @frawl_backwards , annoying nay sayers and visual abandonments in exchange for sonic priorities. Even with all this we got through it together, I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by some of the greatest musicians and professionals I’ve ever met, who trusted and respected my ideas and process. Thank you 🖤 Here’s some clips from Program 1. Still processing Saturday… Sunday we deinstalled and I was back to day job Monday morning. More soon. X Special acknowledgment to @guilhermepeluci aka our spiritual advisor 😅 and conduction mentor 🇧🇷 (Brazil needs to happen 🛠️).
