Change the structures, change the world. In London, RESOLVE COLLECTIVE begins each design project by listening to those who know their neighborhoods best, and ends not with just a space but with the potential it can hold. 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖&𝐓’25 🪨 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, The Gallivantation of the Promise (2025) The Gallivantation of the Promise explored “wandering” as a method of knowledge and counter-cartography. Through intuitive and communal gestures, ephemeral scenographies, diasporic vocations, and ways of inhabiting territory were imagined with humor, precision, and relational radicality. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 (@resolvecollective ) is an interdisciplinary group of designers, artists, and spatial practitioners based in the UK. Founded by Akil Scafe-Smith, Seth Scafe-Smith, and Gameli Ladzekpo, the collective operates at the intersection of architecture, social justice, and community organizing. Their practice focuses on using design as a tool for political engagement, often working with underrepresented communities to produce spatial interventions, exhibitions, and learning spaces that foster collective agency. _ The Gallivantation of the Promise explorou o ato de “vaguear” como método de conhecimento e contra-cartografia. Através de gestos intuitivos e comunitários, imaginaram-se cenografias efémeras, vocações diaspóricas e formas de habitar o território com humor, precisão e radicalidade relacional. What advice do young people actually need to hear right now? In this episode of Making It, RESOLVE share a perspective that cuts through the noise: nothing is linear. There’s no single path, no fixed timeline, just the process of figuring things out as you go. Joined by presenter Betty Douglas, they reflect on learning by doing, building with what you have, and why the people around you matter more than any “perfect plan.” Watch the full Making It film via the link in bio 🎥

Join us for a critical dialogue with three practitioners leading the shift toward regenerative systems in London. To mark the opening of @tippingpointeast (the UK's first circular construction hub) in Newham, and the third outpost of Harringay-based @unitedrepaircentre (the high-capacity repair engine scaling circular fashion through social impact) in Paris, I will be speaking to @geomassoud (@material_cultures ), Seth Scafe Smith (@resolvecollective ) and @thami.sanga next Tuesday, 17 March at the @designmuseum . Together, we’ll dive into how these two hubs are redefining circularity: • Tipping Point East (TPE): London’s first large-scale facility for salvaging and reusing construction materials, transforming "waste" into the foundation of low-carbon building. • United Repair Centre (URC): A scalable garment repair solution for 35+ global brands, powered by a workforce of 50+ professional tailors from refugee backgrounds. By connecting the material reuse of TPE with the fashion repair economy scaled by URC, we will address how these diverse scales of circularity can foster a culture of maintenance rooted in abundance, community wealth and a just transition. 🎟️ Join the conversation: https://lnkd.in/exSYnesU We have a limited number of discounted tickets available for school groups and charitable organisations. Please get in touch with us at [email protected] if you would like a discount code. 📷: 1 - @michaelsabuni_ ; 2&4 - @henrywoide

Great to spend time with Seth and Akil from Resolve Collective at Tipping Point East in the Royal Docks. Their work shows what climate action should look like — reusing materials, creating new opportunities and making sure the benefits of the green transition reach the communities who deserve them most ♻️

NEW: I’m delighted to announce the UK’s first circular construction hub - Tipping Point East in the Royal Docks. Transforming how we build - reusing materials that would otherwise be thrown away and creating new jobs and opportunities for Londoners ♻️
