Truth be told, I was meant to post this in early Feb. 1st time in 200 years I had time. I'm posting this because @alpha_maid aka Leisha Thomas and @momokogill are friends of mine, who I love, am proud of and are incredible artists. It's amazing seeing and listening to them do their thing. Since 2022, 4 years after meeting them through mutuals, they trusted me in inviting them to join me for just over 2 years of touring my debut album and songs in general. ⚠️FLASH WARNING⚠️ Premiering in the cast-concrete bunker of @thefeuerlecollection in Berlin, @rebeccasalvadori ’s Not Running is a new, fevered work that brings together essay film, live performance, and a running workshop. Commissioned by adidas and staged at Lee Valley Athletics Centre in London, the film probes how external stimuli—in particular, live music and strobe lighting—reconfigure the embodied experience of running, dilating and contracting the perception of time. Light by @c.h.a.r.l.i.e.h.o.p.e . structures the sequence, with @cobysey , @oliviasalvadori , and @akihide_monna performing live, scored by @sandromussida . Each Breath Brings Me Home For 16-voice self-looping choir — written for @oliviasalvadori and @cobysey , on a poem by @oliviasalvadori . Composed for Not Running, exercise 2: circular track, absence of beat, running as pace setter. A sustained E♭. Sixteen voices, each looping itself, passing the phrase to the next. One male and one female voice carry the same words in different times, intersecting without meeting. As the layers thicken, some voices fall silent — making room for new harmonic combinations to emerge. My older brother & oldest friend (not including our parents etc.) has got his 2nd solo album "Kinds" out on 27 Feb 2026 on @warprecords . 3rd if we're counting the soundtrack for Rye Lane. For those who know, know this is a rare moment. 1st solo album in 12.5 years. He gives so much of himself to others including our peers, friends and I and the fact that we are able to do our thing is a testament to his innate selflessness and belief in us. He's literally and figuratively my "day 1". A benevolent big brother for a lot of us who advocates without forcing anything and really prefers not being in the foreground; he retired from playing live 13 years ago. For me, he is "the reason". Way before we knew of a music software called "Reason". Way before we knew of an independent record label with the backcronym "We Are Reasonable People" in our younger years before MySpace and meeting the people who founded Young.
